Russia is a proud nation and not all Russian girls are scam artists. In fact the vast majority are really just looking for love, just like any other lady.
Many men from the Western cultures are sent over to Russia, either for business trips or because their offices have settled in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other cities in Russia. Most Russians speak at least one foreign language, and hopefully for you it will be English, or whatever language you speak. English is everywhere today, from business correspondence, movies, and television. She will be motivated to listen to you because for her it might give her heart a little pitter patter to find you are from America.
Try out all the Russian words and phrases that you might know. This gives her the message that you respect her culture and traditions. It is certainly difficult to understand foreign languages and hence, you will both be in the same boat, so to speak. The typical Russian woman is extremely friendly and she will encourage and help you converse with her. In the three second you took to approach her, she would have gathered that you are interested, amiable and kind when you speak to her in Russian. You have already taken the first step towards a great friendship or relationship.
But, this is not always how it turns out. She may be engaged or have other reasons for refusing to chat. The important thing is that you tried and it is important that you do the same when you meet eyes with a woman across the room or the street. Just because one woman said no, do not stop trying.
