All about the ashtray
If you are Cuban cigar smoker, or smoker in general, most likely you are aware of what an ashtray is. An ashtray as it may sound is something you place the ashes in “real time” as it’s produced through the end of your respective smoke. Ashes are basically the burned leftovers that can’t be smoked anymore. These ashes come in many shades of Grey and white or a mixture of these two colors.
So how are ashes created? Ashes are basically the residue that is left after a tobacco leaf is lit on fire and smoked. It is a natural discharge from the tobacco leaf. We in general don’t like consuming anyone’s discharge, same idea here. Ashes contain some harmful chemicals and literally taste disgusting. Don’t ask me how I found out, let’s just say when I did, it wasn’t a very pleasant experience. So keeping an ashtray on the side where smoking is highly recommended.
To ash out your cigarettes, or Cuban cigars, people require an ashtray. An ashtray is a ‘receiver’ of ashes produced by your smoke and when you are done smoking, the ashtray is cleaned out. It serves as an holder for ashes and prevents you from ‘ashing out’ on a carpet or some other place which may be of value.
Kindly note that ashes from a cigarette or cigar can be very deadly for the visual health of your current flooring and can produce a very ‘unhealthy’ smell.
Today ashtrays are produced in many different styles, shapes and colors. They also vary in price range from as low as five bucks to almost thousands of dollars. The in the thousands are obviously collector’s items, but you get the idea. Most ashtray are now made with three main types of material. Steel, glass or heat proof plastic. In most cases, a combination of these material is used too.
