Walt Disney World features some of the most famous landmarks in the world. Cinderella’s Castle and the EPCOT ball are perhaps the most famous. In addition to the amazing landmarks, they also offer some of the best lodging in the world. Walt Disney’s dream has materialized into one of the best vacation destinations for families in the world. The Disney Contemporary Resort was one of the first two hotels opened on the property when it was first opened to the public in 1971. Walt Disney hurriedly bought all of the surrounding land in a bid to secure an uncluttered atmosphere to build his dream kingdom. Today, the hotel is considered a leading destination for families. It is made up of four different free-standing buildings intersected by the renowned monorail train.

While the express train just goes right through the building without stopping, there is a train that is designated to stop at the Resort as well. The building is basically an “A-Frame” type of design. It was made in collaboration with The United States Steel Corporation and the architect Welton Becket. The building was made by putting up big “A-Frame” support beams and then attaching rooms to the outside. The 500 rooms were already pre-made and were lifted up by cranes. This was a pretty extreme way to build a building at the time.

The Contemporary Tower is the main hub for all of the resort activities. The Tower is where you register upon check-in. It also has two different restaurants and the main hall. This is also the location of the monorail train station. One of the most prominent features of the property is a huge mosaic that was designed by Mary Blair. You can see the mosaic from some of the guest rooms as well as the monorail. It is an elaborate piece of art that really gives the resort that something extra.

One of the most popular cartoon characters of all-time is Donald Duck. Donald is a character in the Disney family and was first introduced as a follow up to Mickey Mouse. He appeared in his first cartoon on June 9th 1934. His initial cartoon was “The Wise Little Hen.” From there he went on to be featured in several supporting roles, before eventually landing his own cartoons.

Walt Disney first came up with the idea for Donald Duck when he heard Clarence Nash recite “Mary Had a Little Lamb” in a duck voice. Clarence Nash became the voice of Donald until 1983, when he trained Tony Anselmo to take over the voice. The voice of Donald Duck is perhaps his most prominent characteristic.

Donald was created in part because Disney felt that he had explored all of Mickey Mouse’s foibles and wanted an edgier cartoon character. He knew that he couldn’t display any negative traits in Mickey because he was the flagship of his franchise. However, a new character could become whatever he wanted. Donald has always been known as a character with an explosive temper and has been put in several hilarious situations as a result.

Donald was featured in a number of cartoons. During World War II, he was featured in eight different films depicting him in the Army. Disney used these films to entertain and to inspire patriotism. Subsequently, Donald became a more popular character than Mickey Mouse. The audience hadn’t outgrown Mickey completely, but they were looking for something new, and an ill-tempered, funny-voiced duck was it.

After the war, Donald was put into even more shorts and features. During this time, Disney introduced several of Donald’s loved ones. His nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie were introduced during this period, as was his uncle, Ludwig von Drake. A popular spin-offs in recent decades was Duck Tales, which featured Donald leaving his nephews with their rich Uncle Scrooge McDuck. While Donald had a limited role in the series, his family still made up the bulk of the characters. Daisy Duck has been the love interest of Donald for many years also. She is another character that was made as a result of the Donald Duck success.

Everyone knows that whatever you do, success would depend on the way you look at it. This means that you can expect to succeed when your approach is with an open mind along with some self confidence and not when you have an attitude with no self confidence. Things may look extremely complicated. Otherwise you would fail. The way your performance would end up depends a lot on your personal approach.

As you approach the game with an open mind, learn to love the way. Any half hearted attempt at playing tennis will ruin your chance to succeed, promote injuries and make you wish that you never picked up the racquet. Chances of success increase when you approach with a positive attitude regardless of your experience in the game. Anyone who approaches the game with the right mental attitude and a positive outlook would play a better game than some who is in a bad mood.

So just how do you build RC cars, which then you can have hours of fun with? In this article we provide a number of tips that should help you to build your own remote control car, whether the engine is an electric one or one that is powered by nitro fuel. If you are going to be building a remote control car for the first time then it is strongly recommended that you go for a model which has an electric engine.

However before you can build an RC car you need to decide whether you want to build one from scratch or use an RTR or ARR kit instead. Although it may be fun to purchase the various different components to build such a car, but for someone who is building one for the first time it is far better to go with the kits that contain all the necessary components.

RTR or ready to run kits have all the necessary parts including the radio, whereas the ARR one’s don’t come with the radio. So this actually means you can then decide just what sort of radio it is you are going to be using for controlling your car when it has been built.

Certainly buying an RC car kit offers much more of challenge to you than if you buy one already built. It is crucial with such kits that time is taking over the building to ensure that each part fits together properly. Also building one for yourself means you will understand how they function and if at any stage you need to upgrade or repair parts you will find doing so much easier.

After you have decided on the kind of kit from which you will build RC cars you now need to decide whether the engine is to be an electric or fuel powered one. As mentioned previously if you are only just beginning this hobby then for a first time build it is best to go with a kit that has an electric engine.

To build RC cars you need to make sure that you have all the correct tools to hand. For building any model of RC car you will need along with a Tamiya wrench, a set of mini screwdrivers, an electric screwdriver (optional), some long nose pliers and cutting pliers, normal screwdrivers in place of the electric one, scissors, super glue, brush and electric tape. Using an electrical screwdriver will actually help to speed up the construction process. However, when using any screwdriver make sure that it is the correct one else the screw can be stripped.

Another thing to do is actually prepare the area where you want to build your RC car and arrange everything ready for use. A good idea is to use a towel (an old one preferably) on which all the components of the RC car can be placed and which will prevent them from rolling off the table.

Provide markers, crayons or color pencils and blank sheets of paper for the child to draw on, and let the child draw whatever he wants. It can be a person, an animal or object. There’s nothing like a great soundtrack for your road trip to really make the miles fly by. Rather than just bringing a collection of your favorite CDs, why not look into making your own mixed disc with all the favorite songs of everyone who will be going along on the trip.

With the right tunes, you can really enjoy even the longest of road trips. Just think back to all the movies you’ve seen where they play upbeat music as the characters speed across the countryside. We all want to be like that, so, while you can’t montage your trip into a two minute scene, you can certainly spice it up with some good music.

Choosing Summer Road Trip Songs

Your songs don’t have to actually involve road trips, but it sure lends a fun air if they talk about traveling and cars, which is why most of the tunes on the majority of song lists are all about being on the move. This just seems appropriate for a car full of people whizzing down the highway and they are also usually songs that you already know and can sing along to.

Look for songs that are upbeat and will keep you bobbing your head and tapping the steering wheel . . . the last thing you want is to fall asleep to some slow ballad that doesn’t inspire anyone in the car to sing. Songs that are easy to sing along to are an excellent way to draw fellow passengers out of their stupor and get them bouncing around and air-strumming to the music.

When you do find those songs for a road trip, it’s a good idea to put a lot onto your disk or MP3 player. This is because a long trip will quickly exhaust your options. You don’t want to be listening to the same ten songs over and over again every hour! So consider putting at least 50-100 songs together for your road trip compilation. This will give you a good 4-8 hours of music and you won’t have to get bored of any particular song, unless, of course, you want to and hit repeat over and over.

If you are having troubles finding enough songs for the compilation, recruit your passengers. Get them to each chip in 10 or 20 songs that they enjoy and you can all be introduced to some new tunes while also enjoying your own favorites. Mix the song order up a bit so you won’t have each person’s favorites all in a row . . . this way it will be more interesting for everyone and if there is something you don’t really like, it’s only one song long.

While you will most certainly have your own favorite music, there are a few timeless pieces that simply must be included on every summer road trip song list. Here they are:

Materials:

Child’s drawing Tracing paper Fabrics (any fabric scraps will do.) Stuffing, such as polyester fiberfill or beads available at fabric and craft stores Buttons, sequins, rhinestones or beads for accessories and detailing Thread and needle Ribbons, tassels or any fabric trimmings Scissors Glue Kid’s photo (optional)

1. Have your child make a drawing or select one from your collection. Some children go through drawing phases, where they will constantly draw the same character, such as a mermaid or a dinosaur. These drawings are great for remembering these times. For special occasions such as your child’s birthday, you can choose their favorite animal or character.

2. Select and lay out the material for the soft toy. You can use or re-use any material, such as leftover scraps, an old blanket, table cloth, linen, an old favorite piece of clothing, etc. The softer the fabric, the softer the plush toy will feel. Kids are enticed with bright hues so use “pick-me-up” colors such as yellow, red, pink, green, blue, and so on. If you use felt, there is no need to hem edges. The important thing is to keep shapes simple and to find the right materials to help lend character to your creation. 3. Trace your child’s drawing onto the tracing paper, or redraw your child’s drawing to a larger scale if desired. Put aside your child’s drawing, and use the tracing paper drawing as your pattern.

4. Transfer the pattern to the fabric, cut out and sew the pieces together, right sides together. Leave a gap in the seam to flip it inside out and then stuff with fiberfill. The more you stuff the better. After stuffing, sew the gap closed.

5. The stuffed toy is now ready for you to sew on the eyes, mouth, nose and any other details that were drawn by your child. You may use buttons, colorful sequins, rhinestones, beads, etc. You can also embroider the details using thin wool or embroidery floss.

6. If you would like to further personalize the doll, you can add a little photo on the doll. You can paste the photo on a separate fabric and frame it using ribbons or fabric scraps before sewing it on the doll. If you are good at embroidering, you can embroider your child’s name on the doll. Another good idea is to embroider a message on the doll. Sew “I love (your kid’s name)” on the doll’s body and see your kid’s face instantly light up!
