Have Fun and Excitement With Fast Remote Control Cars
When it comes to fast remote control cars as you will soon discover there are a wide range to choose from. Although the gasoline powered ones tend only to reach speeds of between 50 and 60mph there are others which are quite capable of reaching speeds of between 70 and 80mph.
Generally the kinds of fast remote control cars that can reach speeds as mentioned above are those known as nitro remote control cars and which are powered by a fuel containing nitro methane. It is this fuel that gives the cars the power and speed and which produces such speeds that they travel at.
There are numerous styles of nitro remote control cars available; however it is the 1/10th scale touring cars which are proving to be the most popular. Any kind of remote control car fueled by nitro methane can travel in a straight line at high speed but because of the weight of the fuel balance is affected and so getting them round bends and corners is difficult.
However, if you intend to get one of these fast remote control cars you need to learn how to prepare them correctly before you can start racing them. First off you cannot just put the fuel in and then start a nitro remote control car up. You have to prime the engine with fuel first. After priming the engine you then need to attach a glow start to it in order to get the glow plug started.
Sometimes you may find that you need to purchase a glow start separately as it has not been initially provided with your nitro remote control car. With the glow start attached now the recoil starter can be pulled and which helps to get the fuel ignited. When pulling on the recoil starter do so quickly but only with minimum force and release as soon as the engine starts. If you pull on the recoil starter to hard this can lead to damage being caused to its spring.
To start the engine on this kind of car normally only needs you to pull the recoil starter once, but sometimes it may take a second attempt. If you are having real problems getting yours started then check that the fuel and air mixture is correct and once started you may need to adjust this. The only way that you will be able to tell when the engine is running correctly is by listening to the sound it is making.
As these types of fast remote control cars have engines which function in the same way as to ones in real cars they need time spent on maintaining them. A good maintenance schedule carried out on a regular basis will ensure that all components of the engine are functioning properly.
As well as thinking about the cost of purchasing fast remote control cars and the cost of the fuel to power them you also need to consider just how much it will cost you to keep them in good condition. Those fast remote control cars that are kept well maintained not only do go at much higher speeds, but will also provide you with hours of fun as well.
