I learned my lesson and have been rewarded ever since. Mostly, you’ll be given keys to the cleanest, quietest room that’s available. Go check it out, and if you like it, hold onto the keys while you register. After all, you’re staying there based on the room you’ve just seen.

If a person is able to stay at a variety of hotels, he/she will understand what the hotel room may be worth and when to pay more for it. It is quite possible to be satisfied with a lot of fifty dollar per night rooms in budget motels. If the place is quite near another area the person must be or he/she can receive breakfast there, seventy-five dollars a night is alright, though the hotel has to be more than the simple \”good\”.

We all have different levels of expectation when it comes to service. I’ve seen people treat hotel staff as if they should feel privileged to be in their presence. That doesn’t sit well with me. I don’t believe in class systems or that anybody is better than the person next to them. When I go to a hotel, I expect to get the same respect I give to anybody else I meet. Polite, courteous behaviour costs nothing to give but feels like a million dollars to receive it yourself. I like where I stay to have staff who smile and say hello when they see you. That’s all. That’s the first step in elevating a hotel from being a place you don’t want to go to again, and a place you’d prefer to stay when you have to be away from your home.

You can have various reasons for staying in a hotel or bed and breakfast inn. You probably will find a good hotel that you can afford if you just want a place to sleep at night. It is always nice to exchange hotel experiences with other people and learn from them good hotels to stay in.

Our society is virtually obsessed with the concept of sexy. Everywhere we look – magazines, newspapers, television, movies – the word sexy is being thrown at us. So let’s take a few minutes to think about what sexy really means in this society.

Sexy doesn’t mean the same thing in every situation. What is considered sexy is relative to the environment. It is also relative to the roles we play and to the specific occasion. Parties are different from work in term of what is considered sexy. For an example, if a group of co-workers went out to eat at Hooters, the female executive eating lunch would not be wearing the same outfit as the waitress. Sure, that is an exaggeration, but not by much. The female executive would be evaluated relative to the role she was playing – that of executive out to lunch with colleagues. The waitress would be evaluated by the role she was playing of waitress at a super-sexual restaurant, Hooters.

So, what are the elements of dress that are considered sexy? Think of a group of young women at a hot city club. What would they be wearing? Most likely, lots of deep plunging necklines, exposing plenty of you-know-what. Add in some tight jeans or a short skirt, some stilettos, and a dash of perfume, and the average female clubber will definitely be considered sexy by any observer. One of the elements of sexy is that the observers consider it sexy and appropriate. If one of these lovely females suddenly had her mother show up at the same club with the same clothing, the mother would most likely be thought trashy, overdone, or inappropriate. So, again, the role someone plays and the observers’ expectations of people in that role play a big part in what is considered sexy.

What other elements make an outfit sexy? I looked at Yahoo answers where seven women answered the question, “What is the sexiest outfit you own? While one thought an expensive short black dress with her Manolo’s won, others felt that it was any outfit that boosts their self-confidence. Several mentioned boots, leather mini skirts, stilettos, or dark, skinny jeans that boost their bums. If you asked a man what he considered sexy in a woman, he might mention visible body parts rather than the actual clothing.

We’ve talked about sexy being relative to the role and to the environment, but it is also relative to the occasion. A child’s birthday party would certainly have stricter limits. In fact, in a child centered gathering, it would be considered inappropriate to be overly sexy. Women would attempt to be stylish but not necessarily sexy. However, at a cocktail party, women would definitely try to be sexy. The dress, the shoes, and the makeup would all be geared at giving the woman a sexy image.

So, how does all this come together when women are getting dressed for a fantasy occasion such as Halloween? Women use this as a way of letting loose, of giving their imagination free reign, for acting as someone they might not feel comfortable acting like in their daily lives. A women might be defined as a mother, as a wife, as a teacher in their daily life. Those are roles and all roles have limitations and expectations. Women can get tired of those expectations. They can get tired of being what other people want them to be. They can be bored with being responsible, with being the soccer mom, with being Johnnie’s Mom, with being the third grade teacher – they want to go back to their dreams of being a carefree, young, desirable women. With being sexy. With being fun. With being the opposite of responsible.

So what does all of this have to do with Halloween and Halloween costumes. As we’ve said, all year long women are constrained by the roles they play. They are wives, soccer moms, and church volunteers. Sometimes they just want to be the sexy lady that lives inside each of them. Women look at magazines and see the sexy celebrities. They see Victoria Secret models. And they sometimes just want to be those people. They want to enter a room and have people gasp with shock, but with approval. They want people to see them in all their glory. They just plain want to be hot. It also wouldn’t hurt to feel a bit envied. So sexy Halloween costumes are popular because they allow women to show their sexy side in a totally accepted manner. For a few hours, as they attend their favorite Halloween party, they are able to be the hot Mama that lives inside every woman. Sexy Halloween costumes let them be the sexy nurse, or the sexy princess that lives inside of them. They are able to show on the outside the sexy lady that lives on the inside.
