What could be better than living the life of a rock star? Who cares if your fans are all in your living room, you are the man, or woman! Into the world of video games has come the latest interactive games. Guitar hero takes you from the role of interested observer to full rock and roll participant. In other video games, you have a controller and varying views that draw you into game play but with the new invention of the guitar controller, you will get a fullfilling experience tough to find in any other games.

Guitar Hero has come out with six different games so far for a plethora of platforms. It was made available for Playstation 2 & 3, Xbox 360, and PC and more recently for the Nintendo DS. With the exception of the DS, game play and peripherals have been much the same on all platforms. Of course, due to the size of the DS a full size guitar controller was not practical so the creators came up with a guitar grip that plugs into the second slot of the console. One major difference between platforms is that Guitar Hero 3 can be played online with the Xbox 360 console only.

Overall, the impact of the game has been phenomenal no matter which console it is played on. Game play includes different levels of challenges, tour and arcade mode, cooperative play as well as competitive.

Guitar Hero was challenged last year with the release of Rock Band, a similar game idea but one that incorporated the whole band. You could play guitar, bass, drums or sing with Harmonix answer to Guitar Hero. The challenge would be very short lived, as the equipment did not measure up at all.

Soon, RedOctane and Activision will follow up this challenge with Guitar Hero World Tour. Kids and parents have been waiting with baited breath for the latest release in the Guitar Hero games. The play promises to be intense as drums and vocals are added. Another positive is that though the new guitar is awesome you don’t have to purchase it to play. If you have the earlier version of the game, the guitar will be compatible. They have also announced that for Xbox 360 the Rock Band instruments will also work. This is not the case for Playstation 3, though Sony says they are working on making the units compatible.

Guitar Hero World Tour may very well be on the Christmas list of all little girls and boys. If past performance is any indication that is, in 2008 Activision released that total sales from the Guitar Hero franchise has exceeded one billion dollars. The craze has led some bar and grills to have a Guitar Hero night instead of karaoke. One in New York reported that business triples on those nights.

It is obvious that Guitar Hero has just started to make an impact on the kids that play and their parents too. A great idea that has so far been perfectly executed. Look for the new release soon and expect that all the kids are going to want one.

Good news to certified music lovers: you can listen to music anywhere if you are able to download songs to iPhone. The process is not difficult to understand, so even newbies in the techno world will be able to download music with ease.

There are basically two ways you can do to download songs to iPhone. The first is to go the CD route. This only means that you have your music stored in a CD and you want to transfer it to your iPhone. Humans are also changing, and our knowledge is also expanding. This is known as technology, and its growing at extremely fast rates. Everything in our daily lives are based upon technology. Its powerful, and so are we with technology on our side.

The internet is an awesome invention, without it we wouldn’t have the answer to so many questions that most people do not have access to. Without the internet we would be a lot less informed. There is still a massive amount of information on the internet that most users will never find or learn.

Everything we use and do each day is technology. Technology is our world, and our world keeps expanding. The knowledge that we have at our fingertips is astounding, yet it keeps expanding and turning into something more, something bigger. Tutorials and books and articles can offer you plenty of information on anything you want to learn about, and the future is literally in our hands.

Recently we have received quite a few emails from people wondering how they can watch TV on their computer. With the internet becoming a true media center, it is now possible to find just about any TV channel on your computer – we thought we would put a quick article together to show you how this is possible.

It’s pretty impressive how much you can now find online. There are many benefits to watching TV on your computer compared to regular cable or satellite services.

There’s a fee for using these websites, but it isn’t very expensive. You will be asked to pay a one-time membership fee which will give you full access to all the TV channels and services. There are no monthly or additional charges.

We included a link at the bottom of this article that you can use to try a free trial at a couple of the top-ranked online TV services. We should warn you though – it’s easy to get addicted!

A great feature for anyone with a laptop is that this service works anywhere in the world. No matter where you are you can watch all the channels right on your computer.

Considering the fee for this service is only about $50 for lifetime access, you can see how much value there is in this type of service. It’s quickly gaining in popularity as the computer continues to become more and more of an entertainment system.

The Xbox 360 has quickly become one of the most popular game systems to ever hit the shelves. Because of this, one question that we have been getting a lot is from people that want to know if they can copy xbox 360 games on their computer. It’s important to point out that this program can also make copies of other games such as games for the Nintendo Wii, the first xbox, PS3 or PS2 and all the other systems that use game discs.

This type of program is a little bit trickier than the one you use to burn a regular CD, but it’s easy to get the hang of. It will come with full instructions on how to use it. The better companies will also provide full video tutorials in case you need to refer to them.

Double Your Tips Strategy #1: Attract A Bit Of Attention

If your establishment gives you a bit of wardrobe latitude, glam it up a bit. Here’s an example … just for fun, a young man and young woman were working the same bar shift and were planning to attend a mutual friend’s wedding the next day. For their shift, he wore a stylish tux and she complemented the look with a short black cocktail dress. It drew attention to the bar, they sold more drinks, and cashed in on the tips!

Double Your Tips Strategy #2: Hold An Impromptu Contest

Here’s a great one that’s very topical. A bartender at a local establishment gathered the crowd around the bar and gave them all a piece of paper and pencil. Each customer was given a time limit of three minutes to name as many U.S. Presidents as they could. The winner got a free drink. Further, the contest had the desired effect, as people got talking to one another, more drinks were sold, and more tips were given. By the way, some brainiac at the bar was able to name every single president, in order!

Double Your Tips Strategy #3: Create A Special Birthday Drink

This is a great strategy for your regulars. Be creative and come up with a special drink, or shot, just for them. They’ll undoubtedly appreciate your thoughtfulness and will almost always feel obliged to leave you a great tip.

Double Your Tips Strategy #4: Work With The DJ Part One

If you work at an establishment with the DJ, remember they are always the center of attention. Getting a little help from them can help your tips skyrocket. Have the DJ announce your drink specials and mention you by name, with you of course smiling and waving to the crowd. It’s a sure fire strategy to get people to order drinks specifically from you.

Double Your Tips Strategy #5: Work With The DJ Part Two

You can work with the DJ in a few other ways. Ask him to announce your name and even ask people to tip you. Sounds blunt, but it works! Also, have the DJ ask if anyone is celebrating a birthday. After verification, the DJ sends the celebrant over to the bar, where you have a free shot waiting for them. Usually, the birthday guy or gal is with a bunch of friends, all of whom will descend upon the bar as well. This translates to more drinks being sold, and more tips!

Summary

Remember, if you’re a bartender, you’re a salesperson and entertainer all wrapped into one. Use a bit of creativity to get people to the bar, and then turn on the charisma. Your tips will skyrocket!
