For years now, the competition between the cable TV and the satellite TV industries has been intense, and has led both sides to do some pretty interesting things in an effort to get ahead. Basically, both cable TV and satellite TV have been trying to take advantage of their strengths while downplaying their weaknesses. One thing that the cable TV industry can do much better than the satellite TV industry is bundle together various telecommunications services together with cable TV service. Comcast has been especially innovative in this effort.

Comcast takes advantage of the fact that cable TV is delivered using the fixed connection of a cable by offering other services that can be delivered over that cable or over other land based connections. For example, digital cable TV technology makes it relatively easy to add high speed Internet service to a home over the same cable. It’s also fairly easy to add a high tech digital phone service that offers a high level of service and value- especially when compared to the local telephone company.

While any company can ally itself with other companies to offer bundled services, Comcast can provide better service at a lower price simply because it doesn’t have to ally itself with any other companies. For example, it’s not unusual for a satellite TV company to have its service bundled together with DSL and phone service from a phone company, but while such bundled packages may cost about the same amount as one of Comcast’s bundled packages, the quality of service isn’t as good because the technology that’s provided in these bundles isn’t as good. For example, the broadband cable based Internet connection provided by Comcast is about six times faster than the fastest DSL service.

Also, the digital voice phone service offered by Comcast is a much better value than anything offered by a conventional phone service- mostly because of access to free unlimited long distance to numbers in the United States and Canada.

Bundling together digital cable TV, high speed Internet, and home phone service has a number of less obvious advantages. For example, the fact that you get all of these services from one company makes it so that you only have to deal with one company. This is another advantage that Comcast is especially good at providing because it doesn’t farm out services to other companies. Even though some other bundled packages have the illusion of being through one company, the fact that they’re often farmed out to one or two other companies means that if you need help, you can really get the run around. In fact, it’s easy to imagine calling one company and being told that your problem is another company’s responsibility and then calling the second company, which tells you that the other company handles that field.

With a company like Comcast that handles all of the telecommunications services that it markets, it’s simply not a concern. Similarly, the fact that Comcast is responsible for the installation of all three services means that they’ll all function correctly together before the technician leaves you home. That’s something that companies offering other types of bundled packages can’t guarantee.

In summary, the savings, convenience, and service that are offered by bundling telecommunications services make cable TV companies incredibly attractive in a lot of ways, and Comcast is one of the companies that’s been instrumental in refining this business model.

Now we’re ready for the third event that caused the boom. So, when Chris Moneymaker wins the WSOP World Championship of Poker in 2003, we see poker explode. Getting into the Main Event by winning a $40 satellite at an online poker site, then winning pokers most coveted tournament, sets off this unique boom.

The combination of the pocket camera improving the popularity of watching poker on TV, and the expansion of online poker rooms broadening the player base, set things up for the poker boom that the Moneymaker win set off. With the world seeing an online, amateur player, win the biggest tournament in poker, people flocked to the tables in huge numbers.

The poker boom produces a varied amount of opportunities for creative business people. There are numerous ways to get rich in the booming world of poker. Most of these possibilities are internet. Here is a short list of a few of the businesses you might want to start that involve poker.

Driver A.J. Allmendinger drives car No. 10. The primary sponsor is Valvoline. Rick Viers is the crew chief of the red bull racing team that supports A.J. on the track.

Aric Almirola Drives a Chevy vehicle with the No. 8 on it. Tony Gibson is the crew chief for the Chevy vehicle and the Dale Earnhardt Inc. racing team. The U.S. Army is the primary sponsor that supports Almirola on the track.

Driver Marcos Ambrose drives car No. 7. This Ford vehicle is primarily sponsored by Little Debbie Snacks. Marcos is supported on the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing track by Frank Kerr and Wood Brothers Racing.

The race car is a Chevy. The driver for car number 34 is John Andretti. The major sponsor for Andretti is Front Row Motorsports and they depend on Dean Johnson as their crew chief. The racing team for Andretti is BAM Racing.

The race car is a Toyota and the driver is Johnny Benson. The Bill Davis Racing team races car number 36. Richard “Slugger” Labbe is the crew chief and the primary sponsor is 360 OTC.

Basic Animal Face Painting

Animal designs are some of the best-loved face paintings because these themes vary greatly in design-you can create spots, stripes, whiskers, fangs, cat’s eyes, dog’s “black-eye”, pug nose, beaks and so much more! This article will show you the basics of animal face painting and how to further enhance your skills.

First, get to know the basic animal designs. The most popular beginner’s design is the butterfly and bunny. Here are other animals you can portray in your animal face painting:

With these samples you can already learn and create so many kinds of patterns. To get started, here are basic animal details:

1. Spots – can be applied by dotting paint on the face with a round brush. With this simple animal face painting technique you can create Dalmatian spots. Try drawing a circle around one eye and filling it in with solid color to create a dog’s “black eye.” You can then move on to creating cheetah spots by making solid dots and then creating a circle around them.

2. Making Stripes – you can use stripes to make basic tiger and zebra designs. Create wavy lines across the face with a brush. There are many books available that can show you where to direct those lines.

3. Noses – noses are easy to create. You can simply apply a black, pink or red spot on the nose.

4. Beaks – beaks are made by the illusion of “sticking out” of the face. Find detailed instructions from books or online information on animal face painting.

5. Eyes – animals’ eyes can vary. Paint on a vertical line that has a thicker middle and pointed ends for cat’s eyes.

6. Fur and feathers – for a step-by-step instruction of how to create the illusion of furs and feathers with paint alone, you can search for online books on face painting.

Prepare yourself for actual face painting now that you know the basics. Here is a basic procedure:

Step 1: Prepare the palette of colors that you will need for the design you want to make. For example, a tiger is going to need a color palette of orange for the base, black for stripes, yellow for eyes and white for the lower eyelids.

Step 2: Determine whether you are doing an entire face painting or doing a partial face painting only. For those who don’t want the whole face to be painted, add some animal-like features only in a small area like the eyes or part of the cheek.
