Paintball and Airsoft: Knowing the Difference Some people tend to think that paintball and airsoft are two same things. But there are actually several differences when compared. The most common difference between them can be the use of the actual weapons.

Sometimes paintballs and airsoft are mistaken to mean the same thing but they are not the same. There are a number of differences between the two. A more complex technology is involved in making the airsoft guns and these resemble the real guns closely. However the projectiles of the guns measure only 6 to 8 mm in diameter. The airsoft guns function quite differently and require batteries to help them to carry functioning. These guns can either be automatic or semi-automatic.

The Rules of Airsoft Since airsoft fires off little pellets, projectiles are vital. This is also important because airsoft games are usually held at replicas of actual battlegrounds, meaning there is a big field where both camps can stake their hide outs complete with ammunition packs and those shields they can run to for cover. Thus, projectiles must be flexible enough especially when both camps finally catch up against each other.

But because of the size of the pellets, and since not all airsoft BBs are stained like paintballs the honor system is followed. This simply means that players who have been fired successfully with the pellets must surrender themselves out of the game. Sometimes referees and marshals are also present to make sure that those who must be out are really out of the game already.

Most of the times, due to adrenaline rush and the firing of bullets some players might not know that they have been hit and therefore tainted pellets are used at times. There are however a lot of players who do not want to use the tainted pellets as these cause damage to the guns and also the clothes. Airsoft is one of the most entertaining games and bring unending hours of enjoyment.

They were fast becoming like the real thing.

The realism and detail found in the model trains of today is exquisite. There are many gauges and scales of these model trains available. In addition, there is no shortage on scenery and add-ons. The hobby has grown to the point where the model trains can nowadays be run by computers and set on a time table.

There is zero need to be alone when it gets to this hobby either. There is a massive gathering of clubs and associations in nearly all the city constantly looking out for new members.
