This holiday season the hot toy is Bakugan Battle Brawlers!
There is always that one toy every year that is the must have, can’t find, top of Santa’s list, item and this year it’s Bakugan Battle Brawlers. These toys, made popular by the Cartoon Network, are the “it” item for 2008.
You may remember the game of marbles where you draw a large circle and place your “mibs” in the middle and you compete with your opponents to knock out other players marbles by flicking your shooter in to the game area. The Metal cards located in the battle area are used to expand the Bakugan Battle Brawlers from their spherical shape to their hidden identity. The Bakugan Battle Brawlers have very interesting names and character types and it takes a 7+ year old to remember them and teach you how to pronounce them. Darkus Dragonoid, Pyrus Gorem and Bakugan Deka are some examples.
Playing Bakugan Battle Brawlers requires at least three Brawlers, but most players have ten or more. The varying sizes, shapes and colors of the Bakugans are very interesting and well done and there are many accessories for carrying, launching and battling the Bakugan Battle Brawlers.
The colors, designs and fantasy of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers are extremely well done and add to the excitement and fun of this game. The Bakugan Battle Brawlers franchise is connected in a very cohesive way between the games, television program, posters and books.
Bakugan Battle Brawlers are more than just a game however. There is an entire story behind these fun and fascinating toys. Dan, the leader of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers, is 12 years old and is always looking for adventure. His goal is to be the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world.
Dan’s friend, guardian and battle partner is Pyrus Drago. Pyrus is the most powerful Bakugan Battle Brawler in Vestroia. When Dan and Pyrus Battle their competitors they are extremely focused and virtually unstoppable. They both have the desire and skills to be the number one brawlers.
