Do you remember that Beatles song with the line “Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name, nobody came”?

This was certainly not one of the Beatles more happier songs, and a bit out of keeping with what we had come to expect at that time.

I have often wondered who Eleanor Rigby really was, if indeed she was a real person at all, or was she just somebody whose name was plucked out of mid air.

Well as luck would have it, I was recently performing some songs in Liverpool and so during my free time I decided to look into this and see what I could find out about Eleanor Rigby.

So, I popped along to the local library, did a little bit of research, and then headed for the part of Liverpool known as Woolton.

When I arrived in Woolton I straight away visited the local church, and their in the churchyard my eye was drawn to one particular tombstone.

What did I find there? A headstone dedicated to the memory of…..Eleanor Rigby.

Now this discovery heightened my interest in my research. Could it be possible that one or more of the Beatles might have lived nearby? The answer is yes. As a child John Lennon lived in Menlove Avenue, a stones throw from the church.

Now, as a child I remember playing all sorts of games in our local churchyard. Games such as hide and seek, hiding behind the tombstones and so on. Great fun, albeit a little spooky!

Is it therefore not very likely that John Lennon, as a child, was also a frequent visitor to his local churchyard, and knew about the tombstone dedicated to Eleanor?

Now unfortunately I only had a couple of days in Liverpool so I was not able to dig any deeper into this, but I intend to return soon and continue my research.

I want to spend some time going through the church records, and I would like to see what I can find out about the other people mentioned on Eleanor,s headstone.

The Nintendo Wii is an incredibly popular system that offers a unique method of gameplay. It’s no wonder so many people want to make copies of their own Wii games as backups to keep them from being damaged.

Wii games are usually in the form of a CD which looks like any other CD or DVD; the difference is you cannot simply copy these discs as you would a music disc. It’s a somewhat more complex process than a simple rip and burn operation. Here’s some information on copying Wii games to keep a backup of yor favorite Wii games.

Your standard CD burning software can’t copy Wii games. Nero, Roxio and other common CD burning software doesn’t have the capabilities of breaking the copy protection which is encoded in to Wii games and other game discs. Your computer cannot make sense of the data on the disc because of this encryption.

Like any other copy protection developed to date, someone quickly cracked the encryption. You can find programs which are capable of reading the encrypted Wii game discs.

Once you’ve installed this kind of software, making a copy of the game is relatively easy - your computer is suddenly able to understand the data that was unreadable before. This is true for games on just about any system, including the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii.

Even some PC games use encryption that can be broken by these programs. Should you own more than one game system, this software can help you produce backup copies for all of them, not just your Wii.

With this encryption breaking software, you can make a disc image of the Wii game and copy it on to your hard drive. You can use your regular CD burning software to make a copy of this disc just as you would when copying any other CD or DVD.

Often, burning and copying functions are included in the decryption program, so you won’t need to resort to your regular burners at all. This reduces the chances of an error when ripping and burning the disk.

The copying programs that are now available make it possible to copy Wii games without having to do anything but click a few buttons. Copying Wii games is a great way to make a backup copy of any game you want. It never hurts to have a backup in the case that the original gets lost or damaged. Enjoy!
