Love for Country - Brad Paisley Tickets

by Matt Ryan

Brad Paisley is not just another country singer, he truly sings from his heart and soul. All of his songs are based on reality, real life stories and each has a good mix of modern and old school country. This man captivates audiences, from around the world, with his soulful voice, as he magically strums away at his guitar - all of which produces art like never before.

Before Paisley was even eight years old, he had been given his first musical instrument, which happened to be a guitar. Warren Jarvis, Brad’s grandfather, was the man responsible for nudging Paisley in the right direction. Before long Brad had learned to play the guitar and written his first song by the age of 12.

By the young age of 13, Brad was not out playing with all of the neighborhood boys. Instead, he was performing, as an opening act, for infamous musicians like Ricky Skaggs, The Judd’s, and even George Jones. Brad was surrounded by artists and, naturally, absorbed the best traits from each of them.

Paisleys first number one hit was a song called “He Didn’t Have to Be”, which also happened to be the starting point of his career. The story, behind this song, is what made the song so special and real. “He Didn’t Have to Be” was based on the story of Kelley Lovelace (Brad’s friend and song writer partner) and his stepson. Kelley was more than a father, to his boy, and this stood out in Brad’s eyes, enough to write a song about it.

Paisley made numerous other contributions to society. He performed two songs, for the movie “Cars”, which recognized the significance of Route 66: Main Street America.

Brad most recent tour, from January 2009 to March 2009, is captivating audiences. He has included, in his tour, songs from his most recent album - “Play”, specifically, “Throttleneck”, which won him his first Grammy: Best Country Instrumental Performance.

Brad has not only experienced a unique career, but also a distinctive personal life. Brad knew what kind of woman he wanted to marry, or more specifically, what woman he wanted to marry, after watching both “Father of the Bride” and “Father of the Bride II”. Kimberly Williams, the main star of both films, had caught his eye.

Rather than settling for a girl like Kimberly Williams, he decided he had to have the real thing. He instrumented a video, which he used to get her attention. It worked! They have been married since 2008, and already on baby #2.

Every song, that Paisley sings, is a story from his life - whether him specifically, or someone he knows - it is reality. Rather than filling people’s heads with fantasy, Paisley has a magical way of making reality sound nothing short of beautiful and mystical. Throughout his career, has been awarded, and accepted, many awards. This is no; however, what has made him who he is today. It is his charisma, honestly, and love for life that touches so many people, still today.

Since his tour is short, this year, time is limited. When the opportunity arises, to see Paisley live, do not let it pass you by. Witnessing a solid mix of old and new country - along with the heart and soul that comes with it - is not something worth missing.

Jeff Dunham Tickets: Hysterical Animated Comedy

by Matt Ryan

There are a number of comedians / ventriloquists out there, but none like Jeff Dunham. With the use of puppets that appear out of a suitcase at just the right time a touch of innocence, and just enough crude material - Jeff is quickly gaining the attention of millions. When he is on tour, the shows sell out quickly, leaving many without a chance to enjoy the pure hilarity of such a show. Through his live performances, TV appearances, and DVD sales, Dunham has just reached the two million sales marker.

Jeff was born in’68, in Dallas, Texas. Dunham is no longer alone, as he was when he began standup, as his wife and three children fully support him and his career.

He did not begin to hit stardom until the’80’s. This is when he began performing at comedy clubs and on popular television shows like Star Search, Comedy Central Presents, and The Late Show with David Letterman.

Each performance Jeff begins with slight comedy, and at the right moment, pulls one of his puppets, from his suitcase, for the real show. Some of his most infamous characters are Walter, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Jose Jalapeno, and Sweet Daddy D.

Jeff has made each of his puppets himself, turning each one into independent animated comedy. One of Jeff’s oldest puppets, Walter, happens to be a favorite of many crowds. Like all of his other characters, Walter acts in such a way that you nearly forget he’s a puppet due to his independent nature and frightening disconnect from society. Walter, whom has been married for 48 years, is very open about his hostility towards his wife and the audience. Known for his mouth, Walter is constantly voicing his opinions, about society today.

Achmed the Dead Terrorist is yet another hit amongst many of Jeff’s fans. Achmed is the skeleton of a suicide bomber, who constantly screeches out “I kill you”. He loves to sing, maybe not just any song, but his favorite is “Jingle-Bombs”, which typically leaves audiences on the floor. Even with the number of adoring fans that Jeff has, this act has had him banned by the South African Advertising Standards Authority due to jokes made about Muslims and labeled as offensive.

He was at home when he purchased one of his latest costumes, for one of his most recent characters - Melvin the Superhero. This new character rang in, not only the fans, but the sales as well. Since Melvin’s first appearance, Dunham has now appeared in films such as “Arguing with Myself”, “Spark of Insanity”, and even of his own “Jeff Dunham’s Very Special Christmas”.

Jeff, along with his devious side, has continued along the path of making people laugh through the use of vile, animated characters. Every audiences sits, in anticipation, waiting to see who is in the suitcase. Regardless of who it is, you are still in for quite a treat. His approach to comedy is quickly making its way around; the more people hear of his performances, the higher the ticket sales! If you ever have the opportunity to see Jeff Dunham, whether live or on TV, take the chance. You will never experience a laugh quite like this one.

How Many Rock Stars Can You Think Of That Didn’t Start Out Playin

by Bill Shor

It doesn’t matter what kind of music you play, if you want to make it big in the music world, you can’t just dream about it. You have to get off your bottom, and get out there and do whatever it takes to make it happen. You can visualize whatever you want, but until you do something to make it happen, all it is a wish, not a reality.

The older ways of making it big in the music business have changed more dramatically and faster in the last few years than any previous time in history. With those changes, come plenty of great opportunities. In fact, according to the staff at MusicMarketingCenter.com, there’s no ‘next big thing’ happening, and there’s never been a better time to get your start. If you have something new and exciting, the sky’s the limit. If your music fits an established genre, then there are already people who are anxious to hear it.

One of the most important things you need to do is to figure out what niche your music fits. In a future article, we’ll go more into depth on that topic along with all kinds of ways to get yourself heard in the digital world. But, for this article, we are going to concentrate on playing live.

If you have figured out your musical style, or one that is similar, start there. Look for local places that are already known for music similar to what you play. Bug them till you get a gig there. Don’t worry too much about the money in the beginning… you just need to build a loyal following for now.

Every time you play, it is an opportunity to gain new fans and to build your mailing list. You do have a mailing list, don’t you? It’s the most important thing you can do to help create that important buzz about your music. List building is one of the most popular subjects in posts at the MusicMarketingCenter.com. You’ll find plenty of info about it there, but for now, just know that you need to bring at a minimum a pad of paper and some pens so people can give you their email and contact info at every show. Tell them to sign up before, during and after your set. This will become your main fan base, and they will tell others about how great you are.

Along with promoting yourself, your gigs, your cds, etc. with your mailing list, why not make some cash? Get tshirts, posters, or other merchandise created, and offer it to your list at a profit. Music fans love to talk about the new band they’ve discovered, and tshirts are a great way to help them to talk about you. Think it’s going to cost you a lot of money to print tshirts? Wrong.. Check out cafepress.com. They print tshirts and other merchandise on demand and there is no start up cost at all.

At the end of your set, spend some time with the audience. Tell them to sign up for your list at every chance, but also, just chat with them. People love to be noticed by whoever is currently at the center of attention, and after you’ve just played, that is you! Be nice to them. They will appreciate it and promote you and your music like crazy.

Have you checked out your local colleges and small clubs? They love to ‘catch a rising star,’ and that could be you. Especially if your music is a little different than most, the people booking these places do so because they are music fans, and they’d love to be able to say that they had you play there back when no one knew who you were.

Even audition nights and open mike nights give you a great chance to play. There are plenty of famous people and bands that started there. Bring in some friends who can be your cheering squad. People are often like monkeys. When they see others enjoying the show, they are more likely to enjoy it themselves. The more excited your friends get, the more excited all the people in the audience that never heard of you will become also.

All in all, you need to just get out there at every opportunity and play your music live. For the fans, there’s nothing like hearing a band do their thing right in front of you as part of a crowd. And for you, it’s great to get the immediate feedback and admiration from a live audience. Although there are ways to get your music to more people at once, there is no other way to generate the kind of impact that a live show of your music creates.

Fashion Tips For Women Over 40

by Alia Jae

Don’t fret over finding fashionable clothes if your over 40. You don’t need to compete with the teeny boppers, but you don’t need to put being hot on the shelf either. The older you get the more beautiful you get and your wardrobe should play up that beauty. So, women over 40 work that beauty and play it up!

Here are some wardrobe/shopping tips anyone over 40 can use:

Know what colors complement you. What colors complement the color of your skin? What colors complement the color of your hair? When you look in the mirror do the colors look vibrant and attractive? Or do they look dry and dull?

By long skirts of varying styles and have them hemmed based upon what you feel most comfortable with. Remember if you don’t feel totally comfortable in what you wear it shows. If you are on the short side long skirts will only make you look shorter, so be careful with that.

Buy shoes that have a heel, there is something so hot about wearing heels! You just feel so womanly. Go with what is most comfortable. You don’t have to feel obligated to wear them real high. Wear what makes you feel good.Try to buy a casual pair of heels, dressy heels for a night out and one random color like red or blue to spice it up!

Lastly, do not forget to work on your inner beauty. Inner beauty is what bring it all together. If you are only beautiful on the outside and rough around the edges on the inside…it cancels out the beauty on the outside. Have you ever known someone who is just gorgeous, but you can’t stand their attitude? Them being beautiful doesn’t really matter to you anymore because their attitude stinks. Remember to nurture the inner woman so the whole package is beautiful and something that people are drawn to.

How Was The Lionel Train Founded - American Flyer Electric

by Edward Rizzo

Josh came out with a new gauge, and this was a average three rail O gauge. He had rapidly visualise the need for a train that would be more adjustable to home sizes and could generate off the electrical energy. That is incisively what this gauge provided and is all the same a very favourited model today.

Other train manufacturers were fast becoming identified as well. For instance the in 1907, the American Flyer joined the industry. Owned by two friends, William Coleman and William Hafner. They had determined they wanted to experiment with keeping costs down in the lithography region. They tried numerous tin type stuffs but the quality was bad, so they were not favourited. Actually, it was this organisation that originally started making clockwork trains.

Finally the partnership came to an end and Hafner went on his individual constructing the American flyer electric train set. In the beginning, he went with the O gauge, but shortly went into the general gauge that Lionel had set.

Just before the oncoming of the war, Hafner sold the American flyer in 1938. This was to A C Gilbert. Once the war started out, every last model train making had to stop. Every last the attention had to be put on the war. Prior to this though Gilbert had changed the gauge from HO to O. Then in 1946, the S gauge was introduced. The Lionel Firm had the superior edge in the industry and Gilbert was unable to compete. He could not keep up with the mass production and the price of Lionels. Gilbert stopped production in 1966 and simply after this; Lionel took over the ownership of the American Flyer.

The passion for model trains lives on today and will no doubt preserve to do so for many years to come. There will never be a toy in the industry that can take the place of the preferred trains in people’s heart.

The Stage in the Middle of the Road

by John Charles

One of my main interests as a young teenager in the 1960’s was to go, with my friends, and listen to the juke box which was in most coffee bars at the time.

Of course you had to pay for this entertainment, and as money was a bit scarce we would all take it in turns to put our coins into the juke box and let everyone know what artists we were fans of.

I used to spend a few hours in the coffee bar (I dread to think how much coffee I drank) and then I would make my way home and straightaway tune in to Radio Luxemburg.

Radio Luxemburg was what a much loved and respected radio station. Do any of my readers remember that station?

There were a lot of radio stations around in the 1960s, and many of them were stationed in offshore ships. I cant remember any of the names of those stations or ships now, but if any reader can remember then please let me know.

Although I loved listening to Radio Luxemburg I cannot remember whether this was a radio station which was based on land, or at sea. Can anyone help me here?

Well, it was while I was tuned in to these various stations that I first got a taste for the guitar. Somehow it seemed to resonate with my soul and I just loved listening to any record which had a guitar solo in it.

It was only after a rather curious event took place that I thought about the possibility of playing the guitar myself.

If you are at all familiar with driving in the UK you will have noticed that we have an abundance of roundabouts, literally a large circle in the middle of the road, sometimes with grass on it. The road experts tell us that they aid the flow of traffic, but I am not so sure.

This unusual thing happened to me when I was out one day, passing one of these roundabouts, and there right in the middle was a friend of mine sitting down on the grass and happily strumming on his guitar.

Every car that passed had a good look at him, it was almost as though the roundabout was his stage.

It was not long before I had joined him, and so there were now two people in the middle of the roundabout, one playing, and one listening.

And that wish eventually turned into reality because after that event I saved up all the pennies I could until I was able to buy my own guitar.

Over the years I have played in many bands, and have made music all around the world, but I have never forgotten that roundabout experience.

And I am showing other people now how to kick start their guitar career by having a roundabout experience.

Watch a Movie Online: Did I Act Like a Jerk?

by Sam Lockwood

So a friend sent me an email a few days ago to see if he could borrow the DVD of the movie “GoodFellas” from me. I emailed him the following message ? “Stop bothering me ? just go download it yourself!”

Well, perhaps I wasn’t that mean. But I think I did throw him for a loop.

The point is that there was no need to find a physical DVD. All that you really need to watch any movie is a working internet connection.

Lots of people have asked us the best way of downloading movies from the internet, and whether you really can find a large selection online.

The answer is yes. There’s a phenomenal selection of online movies. You can find GoodFellas, or any other movie, easily at the click of your mouse. Not only can you find older movies, there’s also a great selection of new releases ? probably even better than your local video store.

Alright. We’ve gotten that squared away, so let’s cover a more important question ? Where do I find movies online for download?

First of all, we need to let you know where NOT to go for online movies. Some “shareware” programs like Kazaa or Limeware are used to find different files online, particularly movies and music. While these work OK for music, they are horrible for movies.

You take a big risk when you download a movie from a site like Kazaa. Since the website isn’t monitored, you don’t know what file ? or virus ? you might be downloading.

Other notable problems are a dismal selection and really slow download speeds.

When you use a shareware program to download a movie it can take practically forever; even as long as a day or two! This is because movie files are very large, and download speeds at these sites are often slow. You also may not find many movies that interest you. The selection is pretty paltry compared to the better options out there.

Another choice is to use a kind of paid downloading service. There are a variety of different sites that allow you to download movies, but charge you per download. The way it works is you search for the movie you want, pay the download fee for that movie (usually about $10), and then you get the movie via a secure network with a decent download speed.

This is a decent deal, but there’s an even better and cheaper method for finding equally high quality movies to download.

With the variety of membership only sites that offer unlimited movie downloads, you can sign up and pay a one-time fee to download as many movies as you like, as often as you want. These fees usually run from about $35 to $45, and give you complete access to a database with a huge selection of movies.

The great thing about a service like this is that you get to download multiple movies for just a one-time fee. The selection is incredible, and you can come back for more any time you want. You’ll also be assured that the files are virus free, and download speeds are fast.

The best membership sites also provide the software necessary to burn the movies to a DVD. That way you’re not limited to watching them on the computer; you can also watch them on your TV.

So, you ask ? did my friend ever find GoodFellas?

Yep, he sure did. And I’m almost certain he won’t be bothering me for more DVDs in the future.

Now that increasing numbers of people find movie downloads online, you might soon find that the number of video stores in your area starts to decrease. So go ahead, take advantage of movie downloads to find your favorite flicks right from the comfort of your home!

Home Decor Halloween Arts and Crafts That Are Fun to Make

by Kathy Pratts

Wouldn’t it be awesome to do some Halloween arts and crafts to transform your home into one of the scariest haunted houses in town? Your kids will absolutely love this idea. All you need is a theme, some accessories, appropriate lighting and sound effects.

The Cemetery Halloween Arts And Crafts Theme

Think about coffins, bones, stone hedges, and dead bodies as Halloween arts and crafts for a cemetery theme.

For the coffin, you can use an old cardboard box. Then, you can use a large-size cardboard piece and cut out the shape of a coffin for the opening/cover. Paint a red or white cross over the top of the coffin.

Imitate the sound of stepping over a mass of bones by drying bread in the oven and placing them under an area rug.

For the tombstone, cut out top left and right edges of a rectangular Styrofoam, paint them gray, and write R.I.P. over them with a marker. You can also write your names or guest’s names for that spooky feeling.

Make body parts by stuffing rubber/latex gloves with cotton and painting the opening red for that bloody effect.

Add a unique touch to your decor by filling goblets with blood and displaying them in hallways and your dining area! This will enhance that vampire-in-coffin feel. You can purchase clear plastic goblets and have fun mixing red food coloring. Make the blood thicker by adding cornstarch to the mixture.

Pumpkin Yard Halloween Arts And Crafts Theme

If you want a really chilling yet unique Halloween arts and crafts pumpkin theme, you don’t always have to use real pumpkins. Use other fruits such as green bell peppers and mandarins and place tea candles in them to create scary faces.

For an old, creepy, deserted look you can spread dried leaves along the hallway and on tables. Hang sticks in your porch. Place plastic spiders, rats and eyeballs within the mass of dead leaves and sticks.

Adding a scary scarecrow to your pumpkin theme would also give your place a realistic look. Hang an old, dusty shirt over a clothes hanger. Staple the bottom part of the shirt and stuff it with hay or dead grass. Use dead branches for the arms. Then, use a witch’s hat for the covered scarecrow head. Punch a hole in the hat where the hook of the hanger can go through. Hang the body over windows, doors or cabinet handles.

Shred cotton for cobwebs and spread all over the place for each theme. You can also use washable paint on your windows-you can either use spooking green all over or apply splashes of red for “blood”.

Replace your white bulbs with black, orange or red ones bulbs for an eerie lighting effect. You can also cover lamps with colored cloth or netting for eerie shadows.

For frightening sounds, you can easily download them online. Choose sounds of creaking doors, howling wolves, screaming, and Ghost »”>ghosts.

Choosing a theme, creating the props and setting the mood and ambiance of your chosen theme with Halloween arts and crafts is exciting. Just try to be creative and have fun while decorating!

MySpace - King of The Social Networking World

by M Taylor

Unless you have spent the last five years or so living off the grid in a remote location, it is a virtual certainty that you are aware of the popular social networking website MySpace. It seems that just about everyone everywhere is on the site, it’s been around for a few years now, but the site seemed as if it took over the world overnight. It is now one of the most popular sites in the world.

It’s easy to get in on the phenomenon that is MySpace. You can sign up for an account free of charge and have your own MySpace membership in a matter of minutes. You can look at many MySpace pages without even having an account with the site, but other pages can be viewed only by members, so it’s better to sign up and make your own page; which allows you access to all of the features which MySpace has to offer.

One you have signed up for a MySpace account, the next step is to create a profile page for yourself. There are a number of tools which are built into the site to help you customize your page, as well as profile templates which you can use, this includes backgrounds and fonts, much like desktop themes. You can also make your own page templates if you are skilled in HTML.

Typically, a MySpace profile page will have some information on the person, including age, gender and city where they live. There will also usually be some facts about things they like and dislike. Many users also add favorite video and audio clips to their profile pages. There are some restrictions as to what you may place on your MySpace page, you can find all of the details on this in the MySpace terms of service agreement.

When you’re done putting together your profile, you can then search the user base of the site with keywords, thanks to the site’s built in search function. You can look up users by location, interests and more. When you find other users you’d like to be friends with, you can invite them to join your network; they can invite you as well.

MySpace has received a lot of press, not all of it so welcome. This social networking giant has become a concern for many parents, who fear for the privacy and safety of their children. Parents can choose to set their child’s MySpace profile to a non-public one, so that only those who have been invited may view their profiles. There are a number of other features which MySpace offers for security and privacy.

MySpace has many more features than do the older types of social networking websites. Obviously, you can use the site to keep in touch with friends and family as well as making new friends, there is much more to see here, such as chat rooms, horoscopes, even instant messaging! If you want to start using all of these features which MySpace has to offer, you’ll have to start by going to www.myspace.com and building a profile for yourself.
