Lately, many of us get movie rentals regularly. More often than not people wait for the rental, in place of going to the theater. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD’s in Oct. 2008.
Another new way people are accessing movies is through movie downloads. You can go to websites on the internet that will provide downloads of 1,000′s of movies. This is a very convenient way to increase your movie selections.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana is back in action, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones movies. In this episode Mr. Jones takes on the Russians. The Soviets are looking for the Crystal Skulls, which are thought to have secret powers.
THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ben Garvey, once a bad boy criminal, is a changed man. With a beauitiful wife and daughter, and a job that pays the bills, he has found happiness. Then, he is let go from work, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. The heist is a complete failure, and he is sentenced to death. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Instead, he now finds himself in a mental hospital. Now its all on the line, his sanity, and his soul.
LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon is a veteran boarder patrolman in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Soon his past is coming back to haunt him. He was a member of a viscious L.A. gang, before final breaking away. When When a chance meeting exposes his whereabouts to his old gang, he finds himself in grave danger. He has no choice but to take a chance, and ensure that the gang can get a huge illegal drug delivery into the country.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This movie is about Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the green Hulk. This feature film is about the comic legend, the Hulk. Key cast members are Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liv Tyler. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. The film style is sci-fi/action-thriller.
DECEPTION: Accountant Jonathan McQuarry has a surprise meeting with hof shof lawyer Wyatt Bose. This chance meeting is one that will change his life. He is exposed to “The List”, which puts you in front of access to a sexual indulgance. But, he also gets caught up in a world of corruption, treason and murder.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a quest to find his brother, science professor Trevor Anderson travels to Iceland that leads him to the center of the earth. This is a new version of the 1959 film, which was about the science fiction book by highly acclaimed author Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.
THE HAPPENING: Confused and frightened, teacher Elliot Moore, along with his wife and some friends are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. The city has been thrown into chaos. Many people are being overcome by some strange illness, and are taking their own lives. Can mankind find the solution, or are we witnessing the final acts of the human race?
IRON MAN: Super stud, engineering expert, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanastan. He is instructed to build missiles for the insurgent group. He was wounded when his convoy was attacked, and has shrapnel stuck in his chest. To live through this life threatening wound, and escape his captors, he creates a suit made of armor, which protects and strengthens him. We have a new comic book super hero on the scene.
SPEED RACER: The 1990′s television cartoon is now a movie hit. Much like the movie The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned to a movie with an actual cast. Speed Racer who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a major rally car race that had cost his brother his life. With no one expecting him to win, and everything at risk, Speed Racer partners up with his old rival Racer X, to try to win The Crucible, and keep his families racing business alive.
