A great piano player stays targeted his / her goals. They do not let anything deter them or slow them down or stop them from reaching their goals.
They are narrow minded, in the way that they’re going to have nothing stand in their way. The key to staying centered is knowing what you are working at. They aren’t just hoping that one day they’ll be great.
Some days might be hard and some day they may even feel a bit like giving up. The difference between a standard piano player and great piano is the great piano player does not give up.
To them this isn’t just a hobby that you can come to when you simply wish to fool around. They practice each day and till they are getting it right. They keep practicing till they may be able to do what they are practicing well. Even if it does not make you perfect, if you do it enough you’ll get real close. Practice is a key element to anyone that has a high talent level.

A great piano player is a student of his / her instrument. They not only learn the way to do different systems on the piano but they also learn why they do what they do.
The things that ordinary piano players just overlook, great piano player learn how to do these things. Great piano players are those few people who decide to go the additional mile, or take the additional hour to truly learn their craft fully.
