There is a lot of competition to be the most watched morning news show in America and Good Morning America has been one of the most popular since its inception in 1975 on the ABC network. The mix of news, weather, entertainment and features helps to wake up Americans across the country with their first cup of coffee of the day. The show is broadcast live from Times Square Studios in New York City, co-hosted by Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts. Its closest rival is the Today show on NBC.

Critics like it as much as viewers and the show won the Emmy award for Outstanding Morning Program in 2007, sharing the accolade with Today. However, Good Morning America won outright in 2008. The show has also expanded its audience into other countries outside the USA. It is aired in Australia and the Philippines and the Orbit Satellite Television network broadcasts it in Europe and the Middle East. Good Morning America launched a one-hour weekend edition on Saturdays and Sundays in 2004 with Ron Claiborne as the news anchor and Marysol Castro as the weather anchor who also presents special features. Good Morning America Now is the version that is one hour longer that has aired exclusively since 2007 on ABC News Now, the 24-hour news channel.

The show also has a radio version on XM Radio that debuted in 2006. In addition to news and features, listeners can take part in discussions on current topics. The four-hour show is broadcast on Mondays through Saturdays and is hosted by Hilarie Barksy. Good Morning America then is easily accessible and offers Americans living abroad a flavor of home.

A lot of people are having a hard time deciding between jumping to BluRay or continuing on with DVDs. There was a competition between which way technology would go- BluRay or HD-DVD. BluRay won. The biggest difference you will notice between dvd and BluRay is the price. Other than that, they look pretty similar.

For starters, the main difference that cant be seen is the amount of storage capacity on the two discs. A standard DVD can hold up to about four hours on a double layer DVD. In comparison, the Blu-ray can hold up to three times as much on a dual layer, and nearly four and a half hours of HD information or 13 hours of standard definition. That is a lot of space to fill. The lasers that read the information on the disc are also different.

BluRays use a small blue laser to read them, as opposed to the larger red laser that the DVD uses. This means that the reading of the BluRay is more precise. BluRays also have a stronger protective coating than a DVD. They need to be handled with care, but are more durable than their predecessor. A more important factor to the BluRay is the better resolution of them.

A normal DVD has a resolution of between 480 ad 520, which is half that of a BluRay. THe BluRay has true 1080 and works best on HDTVs. The current BluRay players will play DVDs, but will not be high definition, making the picture not as crisp. You don’t have to re buy all of your DVDs on BluRay, you can purchase a DVD that upgrades the DVDs to more like high def. If you use an HDMI cable in conjunction with it, it will almost be true HD.

So, is the price of the Blu-ray player worth the price of admission? Once again, it is the only way to watch true HD on an HDTV. The prices for the players has also come way down in the last couple of years and are less then what DVD players cost when they first came out. As an even better deal, you can basically get a Blu-ray player for free when you buy a Playstation 3. It will play all of you standard DVDs as well as Blu-rays. It is an easy way to justify the purchase as you get two systems, a gaming console and a Blu-ray player in one package for under $400. Just make sure that you hook it up with an HDMI cable. It makes all the difference in the world.

Do you love art? Do you have a favorite artist and artistic style? Do you visit art museums on a regular basis? Have you ever wanted to create art yourself? Maybe you already do. Deciding what quality you want to use depends on many personal factors. Are you a beginner, intermediate, or advanced artist? Do you know what you are doing or are you clueless and still looking for instruction? Do you just want to try it out or are you committed to becoming the next Picasso?

If you are a beginner and are just trying it out, you might want to spring for the cheaper supplies, at first. You might find out you are a terrible artist and if this happens, you don’t want to end up stuck with a bunch of useless art supplies and in debt from what you spent. Even if you do find that you are a great artist, starting with cheaper supplies will be a good idea. This way you can have the time and capacity to practice and get to know your supplies.

Art supplies that are less expensive and of lower quality are not going to be the cheapest things you can find. Don’t buy a pack of those cheap plastic brushes with plastic bristles from the dollar store and expect to get any good results. You need to find a middle ground between outrageously expensive and just plain crap.

If you find that you love art and want to continue, you can always go back and get the more expensive, high quality supplies. Lucky for you, you don’t need to pay the inflated price of these expensive supplies from art supply stores.
