Play and Earn at Craft Fairs
The Sunshine State of Florida is an ideal place to spend your vacation. Whether a Christmas escape from a cold winter, or a simple longing to lounge on the sands, Florida is the place for many people to relax. It is not surprising that it is a large sect of the state’s economy.
For those with an entrepreneurial mind, however, Florida has a lot more to offer. While other people are basking in the sun, not a few decide to set up shop in the numerous fairs and festivals that occur all year round. Why be on an idle vacation when you can have fun and earn a little while you’re at it?
But what do you sell? In these fairs and festivals, crafts are the way to go. Retailing the works of great craftsmen will prove to be worthwhile. It would be much more rewarding, however, if you make the crafts themselves. Watch the fruits of your own labor sell from the shelf.
And do not, for one second, believe that you do not have talent. Everyone has them; they have just been dulled by the responsibilities of life. And if you can’t remember, just ask yourself this? What did you enjoy doing as a child? What did you like to do before you were cornered by responsibility and forced to abandon it? Pick it up again, and hone that craft.
So, how do you go about setting up this small, part-time business? Just go online to Florida Fairs and Festivals website and you’ll find a list of all fairs and festivals that are scheduled to happen throughout the whole year. Once you get the information you need, you’ll now need to contact the event organizers and inquire about the price of their booth.
Make sure you know how they go about running things; seemingly insignificant aspects like what comes with the booth (i.e. tables, chairs, banners, etc.) become a problem when you forget to ask. Everyone runs his or her stall differently.
