There are many different ways that you can go about expressing who you are. Some do this with their hairstyle and their choices of clothing, and some even do this with accessories like belts, shoes and purses. Some have a bigger desire to have their very own look, and that means doing things that are truly unique. Though tattoos and body piercing are somewhat common for self-expression, no two tattoos are alike, and most dont have the same piercing with the same adornments in the same places.

Most think of body piercing as something that is done in the ears. That is mostly true, as this has been done for a long time. Some like to have one in each ear, but many have two, three or even four in each ear. They can even have other parts of the ear pierced rather than the lobe. This is easy to hide as far as body piercing goes, as long as you have hair to cover your ears. You may not find the need to hide this though, but there may be rare cases when you might want to do just that.

Other body piercing is done in other areas of the face. Some like to have a stud put through their tongue, though that can be a bit dangerous if not done right. Some will have a body piercing in their nose, or through part of their eyebrow. One of the newer trends seems to be having the piercing on the lip. Most commonly, a hoop is used, and that hoop seems to loop right around the lip. For those seeking a way to express themselves in a very obvious way, these are what they may be looking for.

There are other places to have body piercing done that will not be obvious to most people. Some get this done for their own personal reasons, and some like to get them done for their spouses. These are not quite as bad to get for a spouse, as they are not irreversible like tattoos.

You can have your navel pierced, which has become a very common spot for piecing the body. Some like to have them in even more intimate areas like the breasts. Whatever the reasons or the places, these are great fun and can look really good, as long as you care for them properly and see a doctor if a problem arises.
