Sometimes it may feel as though you are practicing the piano and yet making very little progress. Don’t worry, this is very common and a lot of people that play the piano experience it. Sometimes you are getting ahead in very subtle ways that you are not even noticing.

Sometimes you are not, and have hit a flat spot in your progression that simply needs to be worked through. In either case, here are some hints to help you know if you are progressing on the piano.

If you have been playing a piece over and over again and keep making one mistake after another it may just be that you have to break that song down into smaller segments to practice. If you have already done this, then you may need to break it down even more! Some musicians have taken a difficult piece and broken it down into line by line segments. You can get it right by just taking small baby steps with the song before putting it all together.

If your fingers are just not following your directions, and seem to have a mind of their own, it may be that you need to take some time and exercise them. Even if your hands are physically in shape, taking the time to exercise them puts a communication back in place between your hands and your mind.

Take a few minutes and stretch them and work with them so that they are better able to work with you as well. You see many great pianists take the time to do simple hand motions between songs, and this is why. You need to stay in communication with your hands at all times when you play the piano.

If all else fails take a walk. Sometimes it is just a break that you really need and you need to acknowledge that and walk away from the piano. Getting your mind off of the piano may be just what you need so that the next time you go back to it you are able to play much better. If you go back and find that you are still not progressing on the piano then you’re going to have to find out what the problems really are and work on them.

You will find that one of these methods usually works. Once you are back on track you will often see that you are playing better than you were before you hit this rough spot, and have indeed made progress, but you were not able to notice it. This is how to know if you are progressing on the piano. You get through the tough times and come out better than ever.

Just when you thought you had seen every type of camera, now they can be found inside your body. This medical advancement lets doctors look inside the human body without making a single cut or using other invasive methods. For those with intestinal or digestive problems, such as inflammatory bowel disease, internal bleeding, or even cancer in the intestines, a surgeon may request that you down a pill that has a very small wireless camera inside of it, including a small light for visibility. Similar in function to older, tubular fiber endoscopy cameras, it lets a doctor record a video of the digestive tracts in order to identify potential diseases and problems.

A doctor using Capsule Endoscopy can find ulcers, lesions, blockages or other obstructions. A doctor can even diagnose some less obvious disorders such as Crohnas disease and certain types of intestinal cancers. The new cameras can also travel farther and take sharper images than the previous generation of equipment.

Gastrointestinal disorders will affect 18 out of 100 adults in their lifetime. Irritable bowel syndrome and Crohnas disease can often be a serious health issue for young children and the elderly. Conventional tests can be ineffective at finding the source of unexplained internal bleeding.

Patients undergoing internal endoscopy procedures are asked to fast for ten hours prior to swallowing the pill. All the patient needs is a large glass of water to swallow the capsule. Patients are asked to avoid strenuous activity while the pill is inside them.

With internal endoscopy, the procedure takes about eight to ten hours and the patient simply passes the capsule at the end of the procedure. While still not 100% effective at imaging the entire intestinal system, the pill cameras are far more effective than the previous generation of techniques.

Cameras are quite simple from a technical standpoint, tiny camera sensors and wireless chips not unlike those in everyday cell phones can easily fit inside swallowable capsules. The patient wears a belt that receives the images and stores them for retrieval later. The device can record thousands of still images and hours of video.

The procedure is becoming very common, an average hospital will do this particular procedure about 200 times a year. The pills themselves are manufactured by medical imaging companies, the capsules cost about $500 but the cost is included in the price of the treatment. The capsules are not reused, they are returned to the manufacturer when the procedure is over.

The pills have been in use since they were approved by the FDA in 2001. Each year they have become smaller and been refined to take higher resolution pictures. At 1.9 millimeters, the pill is a bit larger than your average aspirin. Considering the valuable information that can be gathered by these devices, most patients find itas not a hard pill to swallow.

It is actually very easy to learn how to play the keyboard. All you need is starting out with the right components and follow up with consistent practices to become a good keyboard player. Some people make some silly mistakes because they were ill-advised in the beginning and end up wasting a lot of time and money in a bid to learn how to play the keyboard. Here are some common mistakes that you should avoid if you want to get your keyboard learning off to a flying start.

1. Learning from the wrong sources

The worst possible thing to happen when you learn how to play the keyboard is to learn from the wrong people who provide you with unsuitable material. When it comes to choosing the right piano teachers, it is always better to stick to the ones who are more experienced in this field.

Similarly, when it comes to buying the right course that teaches you how to play, do not always make your decisions based on price. There are good online courses that are much more educational compared to the more expensive ones, but having said that, it certainly does not mean the cheap ones are all good as well. Always look around and do your research first.

2. Unprepared mentally

To learn how to play the keyboard depends heavily on your attitude. Some people claim to want to learn to play the keyboard, but they are not prepared to put in the hours and efforts to practice. There are also others who started out very seriously, but lose steam as time goes on. The simple fact is, the more time you put into practicing, the better you will get at playing the keyboard.

The process cannot be any more straightforward because you need to go through the phase of making mistakes, to be able to improve on them and learn what it takes to play a particular song well. The process basically repeats itself as you go on, regardless of what level you are at.

3. Skipping on the basics

There is a group of people that want to learn the keyboard to play their favorite songs. There is nothing wrong with that except that they will be limited to just playing those few songs well. By not paying attention to the important foundation completely, they usually sound very imbalanced and unsteady when they play the keyboard because of wrong hand postures.

Skipping the basics such as learning music theory can make progress very inflexible, and at some point of time they will be forced back to the basics. The common mistakes that people make to learn how to play the keyboard are often ones that can be easily avoided through better judgments right from the start.

There is nothing that discourages motivation more than bumping into too many walls when we learn. Thus, it is extremely crucial to embark on the right path to prevent unnecessary problems in the future.

Black Rain: New York detectives Nick Conklin and Nick Vincent capture a killer who is part of the Japanese Mafia. Upon escorting him back to Japan, he escapes. With the assistance of the Tokyo police they try and track this killer down. They find themselves being pulled deep into the world of the Japanese Mafia.

Fool’s Gold: Tess Finnigan is quietly working on the billionaire Nigel Honeycutt’s yacht. She will soon divorce her treasure-hunting bum of a husband Ben. When Ben shows up on the yacht with more clues to sunken treasure in the nearby sea, he intrigues Nigel enough to form a partnership, and start to hunt. They will be up against island criminals, and other treasure hunters.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day: It has been 10 years since Sarah Connor survived the attack of a terminator sent from the future. He was programmed to kill her so her son, John Connor, would never be born. Now John Connor is alive, and the same cyborg killer has returned. Only this time he has been sent to protect John, from the next generation terminator that has now been sent to kill him.

Body of Lies: Traveling through the Middle East, Roger Ferris is the CIA’s best Middle Eastern operative. Taking his order from people over 5,000 miles away, during split second decisions shows the incredible technology we wield in this battle. In spite of this, we soon learn that the old fashion methods are often best. The terrorist he chases always seem to be able to stay one step ahead, leaving a wake of death behind them.

Passenger 57: Mastermind terrorist Charles Rane has hijacked flight 163. When they terrorist make their move, passenger 57, security expert John Cutter, is in the bathroom. When he comes out, he sees the situation, remains unseen, and plots to save the flight, and it’s passengers.

Lethal Weapon 4: Martin (Mel Gibson) and Roger (Danny Glover) are back in action, dealing with crime in Los Angeles. This time they are after counterfeiters. They are up against a Chinese martial arts master.

The reason I am publishing this article is to inform you of a new Brain Training Article Directory. Obviously, watching your parents become ‘less than they were’ is not an easy thing to accept. Yet, for most of us, it’s an inescapable reality – we are responsible for our parents in their senior years. It’s a difficult time of life.

Baby Boomers are proud and are realizing that the quality of life in their senior years depends as much on their mind as their physical well-being. Just as they have always kept physically fit, they now realize they need to stay mentally fit also.

As far as I can tell, I’ve created the first Brain Training / Brain Fitness Article Directory. There are companies that publish their own articles in a variety of directories but none have specific brain training related categories. As far as I know, my article directory is the first. in fact, this is my first article to tell people about it.

Broadway shows have entertaining audiences for years and they have not stopped with the production of Jersey Boys. This amazing production shares a story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, what they went through to get to their dreams. This production is so realistic you begin to feel as if you’re actually a part their story, like you experienced it for yourself. Jersey Boys is a production that all adults should see.

Jersey Boys, the musical, has been touring for years with a small break not too long ago. Regardless, they are still capturing the hearts of thousands with this amazing story. The musical is so well put together – in fact – that it won a Tony Award for best musical in 2006.

Frankie Valli, along with three of his friends, had a dream to become a famous band. They were known by a different name growing up, but went famous with the name of Four Seasons. Jersey Boys tells their story in a way that has never been heard. From their friendship and hardships to momentous occasions – everything is covered.

The four boys were raised on the streets of Newark and were blue collar kids. The combination of these circumstances had everyone telling them they would never make it; that there was no way for them to become famous musicians. Surprisingly, this built a stronger bond between the boys, and made the fight even harder.

The Four Seasons was a unique band as they created a whole new beat, on that no one had yet heard. Additionally, they wrote their own songs – a feat in its own. They were so unique and catchy that they sold over 175 albums before they even reached the age of 30. The Four Seasons may not sound familiar to you, but some of their songs definitely will. Rag Doll, Oh What a Night, Big Girls Don’t Cry, and Sherry are some of the most infamous songs – even younger generations have heard these songs.

Due to the nature of the story, musicians and the streets or Newark, Jersey Boys is not a family production. This is a musical intended for older teenagers and adults as there is quite a bit of cursing along with some adult content. All of this appears randomly throughout the show so attempting to cover a child’s ears and eyes is not really an option.

There is no way to fit this amazing story into less than 3 hours. You do; however, get a 15-minute intermission about half way through the show. Even through Jersey Boys is a bit long for a musical, every audience comes out raving about the performances and the story.

Tickets – for Jersey Boys – can be purchased over the phone or online – prior to the show. You can also purchase rush tickets right at the door the morning of the performance, they usually go on sale around 11 o’clock. Due to the popularity of the show, it is highly suggested that this be a planned event and that you purchase your tickets in advance. You not only have a higher chance of a good seat, but you don’t risk missing the show all together.

Even if you are not into theater or musicals, Jersey Boys will take your breath away and entertain you for hours. Experience what it was like to be on the streets of Newark, back in the 60′s, fighting for a dream that only you and your friends believed in. Don’t miss your chance to see such a fascinating production, you just might regret it if you do.

A job working with rock stars all day sounds glamorous but careers in the music industry require hard work, dedication and long hours. A passion for music is a good start and there are many rewards. Different routes lead to this exciting world and it’s important to decide which type of job is best suited to your particular skills.

For people interested in the technical side of music, a course at a music college will give the relevant qualifications. The recording studio is a hotbed of creativity, using sophisticated equipment. Being a Studio Engineer is a music industry career in the thick of things. The engineer is in charge of sound quality and works the sound desk when recording and mixing takes place. This position can lead to working as the Record Producer. Record Producers with experience can demand a high salary.

Having the right sound is not enough and artists need promotion to get ahead. This is where Music Promoters come in. Some promoters specialize in working for a particular music festival or live music venue.

When a prospect is found, the manager will try to secure a recording contract and organise tours and publicity opportunities.

Some people like to specialize as a Tour Manager. Life on the road can be arduous and these managers need to have great organizational skills. They look after all the artist’s needs on tour and ensure that there is enough promotion around the gigs. They are also responsible for working out the route.

The A &R person is another essential link in the chain and they also hunt down the most exciting new acts, looking for a spark of originality that can be translated into record and ticket sales. It’s the job of the A & R to liase between the artist’s manager and record company to get the best deal. This is one of the most exciting music industry careers but entails many hours of listening to demo tapes and attending gigs in the search for something special.

Journalism is another strand of activity and Music Journalists enjoy going to gigs, reviewing records and interviewing artists. This career in the music industry brings a front row seat. Getting experience on a student paper or a regional newspaper can result in a job on a national music magazine.

Terracotta is quite popular in its natural form, but some people prefer it to be decorated, so I wrote this article with that in mind.

You can have a lot of fun doing this and really, it is quite easy to do. So, what items do you require for this? A black felt tipped pen, scissors, a soft pencil, masking tape, tracing paper, cartridge paper and some poster paint markers, which are fine nibbed, plus another one with an extra broad nib.

Poster paints are such a handy and useful item to use for creativity. Well, for instance, you can use them on material and wood, not only on terracotta, and they produce a good finish. They permanently mark any porous surface.

I would not chance washing them though! If you use plastic, rubber, glass or surfaces that are non absorbent you can change your design, but they would not be permanent. So, this does give you freedom, somewhat.

As an example you can brush on a coat of acrylic varnish to a non porous surface, which will then, in turn, make it permanent.

Now we are at the working out your design stage. This is done with the poster paint markers and cartridge paper. Now you have free rein to get creative and come up with a fair few designs, employing both your colours and working with shapes.

You cannot paint until you know what your design is going to look like on the terracotta. Remember you only have so much space! Once you have ascertained your design you can fit it using your tracing paper. Trace your design outlines with the black felt tip pen. With some space round your design, you can then place it on your terracotta.

Keep them in place with masking tape, but double this over. Now you can try placing them differently until you are happy with the result. You are now ready to draw your designs on the terracotta. So, you need to remove your motifs if you like and continue drawing them freely.

So we have now reached the colouring stage. Once all your outlines are on, you can begin to fill them in with your colour markers. The markers dry quickly, but just be careful that the side of your hand does not smudge any areas.

Spend a few moments studying your sketches, then fill in the insides of them with a fine nibbed paint marker. It is possible then, to carry on filling in the motifs with another choice of colour. Do not forget you need your background colour which you can use your broad nibbed pen for, but do not get too close to the motifs.

Leave a little space all around them unpainted. Also, you do not need to have the background go right up to the top or the base of your object, although you can give your background a fancy edge.
