Dancing has always been my favorite since I was a kid as I was exposed to join dance competitions in my school. It is also through dancing where I met my lifetime friends who happened to be my dancing partners since then. We were always on stage during school performances and I can say that we were so adept at dancing that we danced almost all kinds of dances, from native folk dance to ballroom to modern. Dancing had been a part of our lives as growing adults.

One example of a passionate dancer is Joe Spellerberg. He was very popular in the area of Fremont and the most sought after artist in performances and parties. He also hosted a dance show called The Polka Show in KHUB in Fremont. He was well-known by the locals at Fremont and well sought of for programs and shows. How he came with the name Moostash Joe is quite an interesting history, as rich as the popularity the name had gotten over the years.

The name Moostash Joe was gotten after a fateful night Joe had while on the way to another dancing gig. He was held by a policeman named Mayhew because he was apparently over speeding. Mayhew noticed that he was sporting a thin moustache and suggested that his show needed a better name of The Moostash Joe Polka Show. The incident left the two men with a lasting friendship and thus the famous name was born.
