When you first purchase your scrapbook, it is nice to have an idea of what type of pictures you are going to put inside of it. For example, if you are making a scrapbook for your baby’s birthday, then you might want to purchase a scrapbook with balloons and ribbons on it. You can find a scrapbook anywhere online, and basically anywhere else that photo albums are sold. There are shops that sell scrapbooking supplies in most every state in America. They are usually small businesses that are located either in a strip mall or on a main street somewhere locally.
If you are going to scrapbook, scissors are definitely going to be important. You’ll do a lot of cutting, so you must have some scissors on hand. They can be used to cut pictures, to cut designs out, and for so many other tasks. Good scissors come in handy as a top tool for your scrapbooking. It is also important that you have some good glue on hand. Unless you plan on taping everything, glue is probably the best choice.
Of course you have to have pictures if you want to create your scrapbook. Even if you don’t have enough to fill the entire book, this is not really a problem. Some scrapbooks are big and can be difficult to totally fill. Make sure you work on getting creative, not so much on the amount of pictures. Each scrapbook is going to be different, so don’t worry about whether or not you have enough pictures to totally fill it.
Letters and stickers can provide individuality to your scrapbook as well. If you are doing a baby themed scrapbook, consider purchasing some baby themed stickers that you can use on the scrapbook pages. There are various sizes and styles of lettering out there that you can purchase as well. They make it easier than drawing or having to cut letters on your own for your scrapbooking needs.
Are there any small items that you want to add to your scrapbook? Some people will take small things such as invitations or pieces of baby hair and glue them to their scrapbooks. It all depends on your preference. You can spice your pages up by adding buttons, feathers, glitter, paint, or anything else that adds a touch of artistic flair. The more the better!
Scrapbooking can definitely take up quite a bit of time. Of course this is what makes it into a hobby that is exciting. Sure, it will take quite a bit of time for you to get the scrapbook complete. However, once you complete it, you’ll have a nice scrapbook that will keep your memories preserved for the future.
