Fine arts are also called as a classic form of painting. It is usually characterized through the works of the great masters like Cezanne and Monet. Fine arts are characterized by skills acquired from the formal education of painting and through imitating the styles of these famous great painters. An example of a fine art style is the chiaroscuro or the style perfected through the play of light and shadow. Fine arts are a pricey commodity especially during the 18th to 19th century when only the royals and families of noble origins can afford it. These families usually hire the services of a painter to commission their portraits. A painter is a high paying career during those times.
The Arts and Roses event is a fine art show and not an arts and crafts festival. Paintings from Idaho’s prolific painters are viewed at this venue. Sculptured works and framed photographs are also in store at the show. Entertainment such as a classical song and dance number will be featured as intermission- for the guests and attendees’ delight. Entrance is free of charge.
