Sansa c250 Tips
One of my favorite non-iPod Mp3 players has to be the Sansa c250. While this player first hit the market back in 2004, it still has plenty of features that make it a smart buy for most music lovers. Plus, it’s one of the most affordable players on the market.
The one I have has a 2GB storage capacity and costs less than $40 at Amazon. The good news is there are other good reasons to recommend the Sansa c250 beyond just its affordable price.
Background on the Sansa c250
If you’re wondering who manufacturers the player, the answer is SanDisk. You probably know SanDisk best for making flash memory and other types of non-volatile storage.
I was already familiar with SanDisk because I always use their removable memory for my digital camera. They use that same technology to create the storage in their players, such as the Sansa c250.
A Couple of Drawbacks on the Sansa c250
The biggest shortcoming of the product is that it doesn’t come packaged with an AC adapter for wall charging. You can only charge it up through the USB port on your computer. That’s not strange but since I love to carry mine on vacation when I choose to leave my laptop at home I finished up obtaining the optional adapter.
Reasons to Choose the Sansa c250
The FM radio tuner is also a fine touch and is something you will not discover on every iPod. Though I’m not the biggest fan of my local radio stations, I do like hearing what another cities have to offer when I’m traveling.
While the Sansa c250 already appears with a 2 GB hard drive, you may buy a bigger micro SD card and insert it to the player to expand the storage.
Also, the player appears with a rechargeable battery that can really be altered. With most of the players on the market, when the battery stops holding a charge you need to buy a new player. By means of the Sansa c250, you only have to obtain a new battery.
