Why Your Child Quit Piano?
I have been teaching piano for many years and throughout the years, I have seen countless young children attending and quit the piano lessons class after a short period of time.
As parent, I know the kind of frustration the parents faced when their young kids tell you that they want to quit piano class and seriously, who dont?
After the hassle of paying up for the piano lessons, reschedule your own timetable to accommodate the sending and picking up of the kids to and from the class, you are then told that they want to quit.
Whatever it is, as parent, when your kids tell you they want to quit the class, it is your responsibility to find out why they lost interest in the lessons suddenly. There could be many reasons leading to that decision and you will need to find out why.
Is it due to the various activities that you have arranged for your child is too much for them to take?
Can it be the distance to the class is too far and the traveling time takes a toll on the child?
Can it be the lesson is schedule too early in the morning or too late in the evening, causing inconvenient for the kid?
Is it due to the teacher? The teaching methods, attitude or skills that make your child lost interest?
Or can it be your child has tried and maybe piano is not for them.
There could be many other reasons and it is best that you sit down and talk to your kids slowly to find out the reason.
Ultimately, as parent, you need to make sure that your kids love and enjoy piano. If they don’t enjoy piano, consider switching to other musical instrument instead. Forcing them to continue will make the matter worst and sooner or later, they will QUIT again.
