Maximo Park’s Quicken The Heart will Quicken Your Pulse!
Maximo Park is an indie rock band where the members are from various towns in England that formed back in 2000. The band consists of members Paul Smith (vocals), Duncan Lloyd (guitar), Archis Tiku (bass guitar), Tom English (drums) and Lukas Wooller (Keyboards). Their music is well known for their very addictive music and the edgy rock pop music style.
Maximo Park has two double platinum albums. The first was in 2005 for their debut album, A Certain Trigger and the second was in 2007 for Our Earthly Pleasures. A Certain Trigger also was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
Quicken the Heart, their third album, will be released on May 11,2009. The Kids Are Sick Again, the albums first track, is to be released a week earlier. Due to the bands untouchable success their UK tour, in May sold in in record breaking time.
With a mix of synths, rock and pop, Quicken The Heart will be in your head all day long. Nick Launay is the producer of the album, and it shows us how far the band has come since forming in 2000. not only will the lyrics stay in your mind but they show how the band is looking for romance in their lives.
