Twilight puts a whole new generational spin to the vampire genre. The vampires are still sexy, dangerous and live forever, like most vampire books and movies, however it is done in a new age sort of way. In Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke manages to create an illusion of modern day darkness and gloom with a shimmer of light and goodness in an often scary world. It is a hopeful and beautiful tale of teenage angst and love combined with family values in an unusual format for that prospective.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name written by Stephenie Meyer the movie is a very true to novel screenplay that brings the characters to life and creates a chillingly romantic atmosphere. The effects brought to life in the book translate well to film complete with some new vampire twists like sparkling skin (and we always thought vampires were allergic to sunlight, when in fact it just makes them awesomely beautiful, although it would also definitely make them stand out from the crowd).

There is plenty of humor that lightens the mood just enough to keep it fun without making it seem forced. The entire cast does a great job creating imaginative characters whom truly support the lead actors. Frost/Nixon, released in 2008, is one of the most interesting historical films to date. Based on a famous play, filmmaker Ron Howard takes a specific event from 1970s and turns it into a box office smash. Frost/Nixon focuses around a series of interviews conducted by British talk show host David Frost with former United States president Richard Nixon.

With Michael Sheen as David Frost and Frank Langella as Richard Nixon, The movie draws viewers into the interesting background story of these intriguing interviews. It shows how Frost got the idea of the interviews after learning about the 400 million viewers fro Nixon’s resignation speech.

The interviews are the center of the movie, and therefore are portrayed during real time.
