Recently, at around midnight last night, my wife and I got back from the Spring Bada-Bing. I was very highly satisfied with the craft show I just attended; I can honestly say it was a very good show! Of course, we were both very exhausted, and things didn’t go perfectly. Though, we pretty much had a good time and made some sale, all in all.

We could never have imagined a better-organized show. As you go inside, you’ll immediately note that the venue is beautifully arranged; perfect for an upscale craft fair. Unloading our stuff early in the morning was no problem at all, as there were many volunteers that helped us carry our works to our booth. Tables are already accounted for in the booth fee along with two chairs, so it was cool to not have to worry about hauling along such things.

There weren’t a lot of food places near the venue, so lunch was a bit of a problem. Luckily, there was the Mafia of Richmond Crafts, and they organized a lunch-in option for us. As our relatively cheap meals were delivered straight to our tables, it was stress free. The organizers sure know how to handle the event, as this is the fourth time they’ve put on the show. I didn’t hear of anything that went wrong, and if there was, I’m sure it was handled easily and smoothly.

The number of people who came was a bit lower that what I expected, but I never actually saw the attendance log, so I can’t really say. For all I know, that’s just me. Anyway, the place was nice and big, and there were a lot of fun places to go to. I’d say there was a steady, but light, flow of customers.

Of course, the most important question is how much we made in relation to the costs of the show. I guess we did pretty good: My wife and I both had tight schedules on the days leading to the show, so we weren’t as well-prepared as we would’ve liked. This affected our sales a little, I believe. So, I’d say, for us, it was a good but not great show.
