50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct CD
50 Cent (and his current contract with Interscope Records) will be releasing a new album soon called Before I Self Destruct. This is his 4th album other than his last solo.
Curtis was released in 2007 instead of Before I Self Destruct like it was supposed to be. Instead the release date was pushed back to February of 2008 and then moved back again to March and then to the end of the year. The current release date is June 2009 because he said that his mentor, Eminem was going to release first.
The first two singles were released in October of 2008 and January of 2009. A bonus track with Eminem and Dr. Dre was also. Other songs that were on it include: Intro, Came to Win, Need Your Hate, Here for a Reason, All for You, Good to Be a Gangsta, Lonely at the Top, Dont Mess with 50, No Time to Lose, Trust in Me, Somebody Forgive Me however, “Shut your Bllodclot Mouth” was not.
Among Dr. Dre and Eminem there are other producers as well, these include: Don Cannon, Red Spyda, Havoc, DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, Ty Fyffe, The Individuals, Tha Bizness, among others. The reason 50 Cent picked the title, he says, is because he sees it as a possibility. He also mentioned the darkness and agressiveness as being heavier than he planned.
The new album is being said to be different, in that the artist is not in it merely for the money. He is truly enjoying the genre of music, and setting trends that will likely be copied.
