You’ll be able to create your own Sim, and as their creator, you will decide everything about their life – their job, their personality, and where they go. You will literally create your own unique character!

The newest installment of the classic and loved sci-fi series is just hitting theaters and it is a good time to look at the classic movies releasing on Blu-ray. The newest reboot of the series is getting great reviews and hopefully can live up to the name.

The classic movies, have all been released on DVD in the past, but are coming to high definition for the first time and like most Star Trek fans; I am very excited to see Captain Kirk and Picard in all their high definition glory. It will be great to see Spocks ears in HD and the Enterprise in HD.

Star Trek movies have been all over the map as far as quality. It started off pretty low with Star Trek: The Mothion Picture, at least it moved it to the big screen. Afterwards came The Wrath of Kahn, one of the best of the series by far. The ear worms were a big deal in that movie.

The third movie, Search for Spock was not up to par with number two, but was still a cool movie. Now, we get to the fourth installment, The Voyage Home, and we get a movie that was much more fun and better than it should have been. A save the whales, peace fest like what was on paper should not have translated into much of anything on the big screen, but the cast was so great and they made something great out of a weird concept. I dont know how they did it, but it worked.

The fifth installment was a miss in my opinion and is the weakest link in the series, while the sixth movie brought the fun and adventure back into the series and ended it on a high note. What made this series so great was the way the characters interacted with each other. You really got a sense that they were lifelong friends and that they would do anything for each other. Even on the original television show, while tackling heavy topics like racism and war, you felt a kinship, a sense of family and you felt like there was something to look forward to, hope for the future.

These days, if you look up Nickelback online, youll find plenty of places to download music videos and listen to the band. Their beginnings were less than auspicious, however. This Canadian band was started up by four musicians, Chad, Brandon and Mike Kroeger and Ryan Peake, in Alberta. Their first album was an extended play disc called Hesher in 1996. Later that same year, they released a full length album that basically flopped. The album, Curb, produced a single, “Fly”, that never made it to any charts and was circulated only in the local area on radio stations.

Despite the disappointment of their first recordings, the men of Nickelback went on to record The State, their second album, just two years later. This time, they struck gold and were given a record contract with EMI and Roadrunner Records. Their second album was re-released as a EMI/Roadrunner production in 2000, four years after their first album flopped and this time it hit gold, literally, in both the United States and in Canada.

It wasnt until Silver Side Up, the third full length album for the band, that they finally hit the mainstream market and became popular with the general public. The single from that album, “How You Remind Me” hit the top of the charts across the board in the US and Canada and became the Billboard Hot 100 number one single of the year, a prestigious title to have. The second single from the album, “Too Bad”, also did very well.

Over the next few years, the band had great luck, releasing two more albums. Their main issues were with their drummers, first Brandon was replaced by Michael Guindon, who was replaced by Ryan Vikedal, a friend of Ryan Peake (Nickelbacks lead guitarist). Finally, in 2005, Vikedal was replaced by Daniel Adair who is still the drummer currently.

Eminem, Marshall Mathers, writes music about where he came from, how he deals with who he is, and mocking celebrities around him. Relapse, his first new album in almost five years, has stayed true to that style, but in a surprisingly appealing way.

Strong track like, ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Hello’, are not what fans have grown accustomed to, but they will not be disappointed by the turn of events. Mathers does not loss sight of the angry young men who are the core of his fan base. Even though his wicked sense of humor leads him to poke fun at the people who buy his albums, fans will still have high praise.

The darkness he lets out in his music, much like his single ‘Stan’, is as relevant on Relapse, as it was on past albums, however he seems to be having more fun with it now.

Interspersed throughout the album are short skits, one of which features an angry music executive Eminem allegedly shot berating the artist for his long hiatus from the music industry, resulting in its collapse and the loss of many jobs. While this might seem self-aggrandizing, it is not without merit, and the record industry has no doubt breathed a collective sigh of relief that Slim Shady is back.

As you would expect, Dr. Dre (who collaborates vocally on two of them), has produced every track and the album has a sleek, polished style that makes it a delight to listen to. The most fun track almost certainly has to be ‘We Made You,’ which skewers the celebrity that no doubt drives Mr. Mathers crazy, and features a strong, bust out vocal track by backup singer Charmagne Tripp, who declares Eminem to be a rock star.

Natasha states that she would sometimes dress up as Pearl, go to a bar, and get drunk, which helped her understand her feelings about things she was going through.

So when you listen to Natasha’s volatile style of singing, understanding her background makes the music less of a surprise. Bat for Lashes utilizes unusual instruments such as bells, violas, and harpsichords, and fuses them with synthesized. Many of the songs are hauntingly beautiful.

Although Khan maintains the mystical vibe in Two Suns, from Fur and Gold, Two Suns is produced in a more cleaned up way. What makes baseball a little different from other sports, is the many different and unique roles each player is called upon to play. If you forget about the designated hitter rule for a bit, each player must be able to run bases, hit a fastball, and play a field position. All of these positions have drills specific to each, and the role of base runner is no exception.

One of the tricky things about baseball drills, and running drills in particular, is the fact that there are multiple players on the field at a time. It requires a little bit more coordination, to keep every one in the mix, and active.

This particular drill is fairly straight forward. It starts, with runners at first and second base. As well, you’ll need a batter at home plate. Extra players will wait behind home plate for their turn.

You’ll need a couple of extra bodies as well. They can be coaches or other players. If they’re players, make sure they get a chance to do the drill as well. One coach should start hitting balls from home plate. Since there are no fielders for this drill, a fly ball, or a grounder will count as singles.

While there is no one playing on defense, the runners on base, and at home will react as if there is another team on the field. The runner at home plate, will do one of two things. If the coach hits a ground ball, then he is to run as quickly as possible to first base, as if the defense is trying to throw him out. On a fly ball, that same runner, will run to first base, and round first base, as if he was considering carrying on to second.

The player starting from first base, has a couple of choices as well. He will either make a mad dash for second base, or he will run to second base, and then look to the third base coach to decide if he should carry on to third, or stop. Once again these decisions are determined based on either a ground ball, or a fly ball.

The last runner positioned at second base will do something similar. A infield ground ball will send him directly to third base. A fly ball to the outfield will send him rounding third, and looking to the coach positioned in the third base coaches box for instruction.

If there is a runner at third (can’t happen on the first ball hit), and a fly ball is hit, then the runner should tag, and as soon as the ball bounces on the ground, then run for home. On ground balls, and no runner at second, the player waits for instruction from the coach on third.

As with any drill, keep things moving quickly and crisply. This will make it a little tougher, and more rewarding for the players.
