A New Zelda Game
With all of the Zelda games over the last twenty years, the developers over at Nintendo have taken everything that theyve learned and rolled it all into one amazing game. With Twilight Princess, they have built a masterpiece, a game that will go down as one of the best in the franchise.
The Wii has motion controls which add to the experience of this game, so it’s a little different than the Gamecube. But no matter if you have motion controls or not, this is a really entertaining game. Both have unbelievable graphics, a leap forward for the game.
Link and the enemies look more realistic and detailed than they ever have before. I happen to like the cell shaded games of the past, but this is a more grown up Link, tougher and more menacing than in the past. The graphics and motion controls are great, but what set a Zelda title apart from other adventure games is the game play and the puzzles and the boss fights. The Zelda games have always been known for these attributes and this installment does not let you down in these categories.
The game play and fighting mechanic are tight and controlled. They play exactly like you would want and expect in a Zelda title. Now we get to the good part, the puzzles and the boss fights. Some of these new dungeons are so complex and mind bending, that they will keep you busy and guessing whats around the next corner for hours and hours. They are some of the best designed and best laid out dungeons of the series. The boss fights are great; they range from good and fun, to epic in scale. The details and solutions are always just below the surface and take some actual thought to complete. You cant just smash buttons and expect to get past them, it just wont work.
All in all, this is a great title and should not be missed, it is one of the best Zelda games of all time, and that is saying a lot. It is not only one of the best games on the Gamecube and the Wii, but it is one of the best games released on any system in the last three or four years.
