Hercules Hooks Scam
love them! 3/10/2009 – Hannah of Missouri, USA writes: I love these. I’m a university student, so I am continually living in terraces and other places where I’m not allowed to use anything larger than tiny picture nails in the walls. These make holes the same size (maybe a little bit larger) but safely hold a LOT more weight. I have used them successfully to hold up a heavy mirror, a coat shelf, and a medicine shelf in my bathroom, in addition to numerous footage and smaller items. The only bummers about these, in my judgment, are that they only work in drywall portions of the walls ( I need a stud finder to aviod them using these ). Also, the hook part is rather large, so some times things appear to hang further from the wall than I’m used to.
Works well 2/14/2009 – Shelly of IL, US writes: I truly like these for hanging little items like picture frames. You can not use them for certain heavier items, even though it claims you can. Also, your walls have to be drywall. My mother has plaster walls and they do not work for her. You also obviously cannot put these into the studs. They do not damage the walls and leave extraordinarily miniscule holes which are simply fixed once removed. I love them, but they do not replace good old skool screws and anchors.
Arg. 1/25/2009 – rebecca of FL, USA writes: I wish I had walls with sufficient room for these to work. Some people must, because I have read such good reviews. However, not me. It was simple to push the hook thru the drywall, but there is just not enough room in my wall for the hook to make the turn and slide all the way in. I am really disappointed, especially because the thing made a big hole. Far larger than a finishing nail far less a pin!
Thumbs Up on the Hooks 1/3/2009 – Phil of Texas, USA writes: These things do work. I bought them at a retail drug store and avoided some of the on line ordering hassles (shipping charges, incorrect credit charges). I’ve used them on drywall and haven’t begun to hang up anything more than a fifteen pound frame. So far, they are great. Vert simple to install (try a back & forth screwing motion into the wall if you are having difficulty getting it in ). They are much quicker than a drywall screw or molly bolt and do far less damage to your wall. We are re-doing our living room and I just bought a new pack for the pictures we shall hang. Billy Mays got this one right.
WONDERFUL 12/18/2008 – Catherine, Tulsa, Ok of Oklahoma, USA writes: I am a stroke survivor. With some use of left hand. Putting a nail in the wall was not possible with out help. I bought these before my up to date move. I was stoked I was able to hang all my favorite wall items/pictures in my very own after all these years! Many thanks Billy!!
WONDERFUL INVENTION!!! 10/19/2008 – JB of TN, USA writes: I’ve hung everything from light footage to heavy foils on wooden plaques. I have sheetrock walls and they work very well in them. You just twist the hook back and forwards to get it started and voila, push it all the way thru and the end that you pushed thru the wall will catch against the back side of the wall. Then hang your item. The hole is minute but indeed larger than any pin that I have ever seen. It is often simpler if you mark your spot with a pencil especially if the spot is over your head. I did not buy mine via internet, so I didn’t have any of the usual hassle with rude CSR’s and such. NOR the stupid delivery costs that you sometimes get. Buy them at a store to avoid that. Yes, I would definitely suggest them. These hooks are amazing!
Awesome product! 9/30/2008 – Jen of Georgia, USA writes: I acquired this product at a local shop after seeing the infomercials. It is so easy to use and makes hanging things so easy. I had avoided hanging anything on my walls for more than a year out of fear of damaging my walls. with these hooks, you do not have to fret about using the right nail, or anchors, or any of that mess, just stick it in the wall and hang the item. The sole issue is if you hit a stud, but then you just move over a little bit and the difficulty is solved. the holes are not pin sized, but they are not not any bigger than the hole a finishing nail would leave. I acquired a pack of 20, and used all but two in one day hanging everything I had been avoiding. An awesome product!
Love it! 5 Stars 9/20/2008 – Rae Malee of Texas, USA writes: We love this product. What more can I say. I just wish I had more. When we moved I made sure I had everybody of them to use at our new home. I had invented them.
