The Samsung LN46B650 Review
With the Samsung LN46B650 you are making a wise HDTV investment. With 1080p High Def picture quality and 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, you really can’t go wrong. Every on screen detail is razor sharp and the images come to life with Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer3 Technology.
Common problems with LCD TVs are motion blur and image judder, but not with the Samsung LN46B650. This model includes a number of features to reduce these problems when displaying fast movement on screen.
With an ultra fast 4 millisecond response time, you are guaranteed crisp, sharp images, whatever you’re watching. Combined with Samsung’s ‘Auto Motion Plus’ frame interpolation technology with a refresh rate of 120Hz, viewing any action scene, sport or video game will seem like real life.
One of my favourite features of this TV is that it has what is called ‘Internet@TV’. This means that you can access content from Yahoo!, YouTube, Flickr and more via your remote control! How Cool is that! It uses either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection (your choice of course) to connect to the net and away you go!
There is a widget and a scrollbar at the bottom of the screen to help you browse all the latest (or oldest) programs, content, information, entertainment etc.
Also included is a 2GB flash memory for your own entertainment, which comes with pre- loaded features which you can update, or change completely buy downloading new or updated programs from Samsung’s website via your Ethernet connection.
There are 2 USB and four HDMI 1.3 connection ports available on this Samsung model. You can connect your mp3 player and listen to music, or your digital camera and view your photo albums. Or both at once – the choice is yours. And with the 15-watt stereo speaker and subwoofer included, you can pretty much crank it up to whatever volume you like!
The look of this model is great too. It has Samsung’s ‘Touch of Color’ design, which basicly means it has a touch of translucent red color around the edges. This subtle detail really makes the TV look very modern and up to date – which is exactly what it is! It’s also Energy Star Compliant, which means you’ll be saving lots of cash on your electric bill too! Ten out of ten from me!
