Speech recognition software is software that types for you while you speak and it is becoming very popular among business people and college kids alike. It is becoming more popular now that it has greater accuracy.

Speech recognition software was somewhat of a joke when it first came out because you could type much faster then you could fix the errors when using it.

Speech recognition programs have come a long way since then. Some of the better programs even have an accuracy rate of ninety nine percent and enables you to switch between typing and talking effortlessly.

One of the great benefits of voice recognition software is that by using it you can cut the time that it will take you to type by 70%. This could free up a lot of time for you if you tend to type a lot. This is especially great for college kids to have to write a lot of papers.

When you buy a speech recognition software you are going to have to train it to recognize your voice and how you pronounce your words. You do this by reading short passages that are preset in the software.

The more you use the software the more accurate it will become but if you want a higher accuracy when you start then you should do quite a few of the training exercises before you start.

The noise level of where you are using your software can play a role in how accurate your software works. I’ve found that some background noise does not affect it but my son running up to tell me the something usually appears on the paper.

If you have kids around you a lot then speech recognition software might not be the quicker option for you.

The SAT test is well-known to all high school students. You’ll need to get a good score if you want to attend Harvard.

In this article I will share two effective strategies for getting the best score possible on the SAT.

First: Where schools like Stanford are concerned, what is considered an acceptable SAT score?

Second: What is the best and wisest way to prepare for the SAT. How can I avoid wasting time and money?

1. Naturally your goal is getting a high score. How high is high?

Your target score should be 2100. You will want to get a score of 700 on each section if you are hoping to be accepted by and Ivy League school. If you have less than a 700 on any section, it will detract from your application.

As an admissions officer, I can tell you that we almost always accept students who have a score of 2100 or more. The only time we would not is if there are serious academic weaknesses. For example, very weak transcripts might cause us to reject an applicant with a high SAT score.

2. Document your improvements. If you make a low score the first time you take the SAT, try again. Be sure to document your score each time, and of course, work hard to improve it each time.

3. Of the two, ACT and SAT, preference is given to SAT.

There are a lot of qualities about the ACT that make it a superior test to the SAT. It is surely very challenging. However, if the admissions office is having a hard time deciding between two candidates who are very similar, the one with a high SAT score will win out over the one with a high ACT score.

There are two things you should focus on in preparation. You must get an early start, and you must take as many sample tests as possible.

1. Start early. Before you take the NMSQT, take the PSAT at least once. In this way, you can get practice without taking a risk. Take the SAT for the Duke TIP while you are still in 7th grade.

2. If you are considering taking a prep course, be careful of those that make extravagant claims. My parents paid a thousand dollars for me to take the Kaplan course when I was in high school. I really only remember one thing about that course. There were some flashcards that were very creative that helped me a bit with my vocabulary. Hardly a thousand dollars worth, though! Be sure to sit in on a few courses before deciding whether or not to pursue any.

3. Haunt your local bookstore to get copies of all the tests. Take as many sample tests as you can. You can get them all, from Princeton review to Barron’s, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity. Taking sample tests will make a big difference to your score. The more comfortable you are with answering the types of questions asked on the test, the better your score will be.

If you want to buy a digital camera, then you should ask yourself one question, “What type of photographer are you?”. If you don’t know, take a look at the six categories of photographers below. Figure out in which one do you fit, and you will be one step closer to finding the best digital camera for you.

A camera for the absolute beginner or those that want something simple. Point and shoot means just what it says. You take the camera, you point it towards the target and you take the photo. The camera software will do the rest.

You are a neophyte in the field of photography. A simple automatic digital camera will suit you. A camera with simple user interface would work best for you.

Photography is in your soul. You want to explore and capture life to the fullest. An intermediate digital camera will give you the satisfaction you want.

If what you need or want is a little extra control over the photos you take, you will have to go with a model that is more advanced. It should come with an LCD, with at least 3 megapixels in resolution, optical zoom, a quality lens and some data ports.

You are very experienced and knowledgeable in photography. You have the authority to get any camera you want and make it work to the fullest. No problem.

The camera you decide to purchase should be the model that does what you need best. Are you going to share the photos with other people or you want to create prints out of them? Are you focusing on certain features, like the ability to create videos or to do zooming?

A family digital SLR camera is as easy to use as a basic point and shoot, but they take photos faster, with much better quality and they give you much more flexibility. It combines the features of a normal digital SLR with the ease of use of a beginner camera.

Remember that patience and perseverance pays. Practice makes perfect. Self determination is the key to success. So, never rely on your digital alone. You might have the best camera in town, but that alone would not produce best pictures. . Read photography books, attend seminars and forums. Apply the techniques you gather and you will notice the improvements in your pictures. Take the time to objectively criticize your work so you’ll know your weaknesses and strengths.

If you are a high school student, you know about Advanced Placement (AP) tests. Of course, some students are international students (for more information on that, click here). Still other students are in the IB program. But for the most part, students entering college will be taking AP classes and AP tests.

Here is some information you will want to know about AP tests:

1) Take lots of AP classes. The more the better. It looks good on your transcript, and it tells prospective colleges you have high academic ability.

2) Don’t procrastinate. Start taking your AP tests ASAP. They really aren’t too hard, and it is a good idea to get them out of the way.

3) Don’t take too many AP tests. Take as many AP classes as you can, but just take enough tests to make a good showing. Remember that you don’t have to have perfect AP scores to be accepted at Harvard. With AP tests, as well as SAT and GPA, you just have to pass an average level.

4) Taking too many AP tests can mess up your average. It is better to take a few tests and really concentrate on making the best scores possible than take a lot of tests and do well on some and not so well on others. Some schools, like Yale, prefer to see a good showing on a few attempts rather than a scattered showing on multiple attempts.

5) When you fill out your Common Application, be sure to note which AP tests you plan to take. Even though you have not yet taken a test, the fact that you plan on it looks good on your application. Many people are not aware of this little insider’s tip.

If you follow this advice on AP tests – take as many AP classes as possible, start your AP tests early, and focus on quality, not quantity – you will do well.

Well-performed although conceited, deliberately perplexing blend of puzzle, satire, and surrealism; hoaxed up with pointless flashbacks within flashbacks and other narrative and graphic gimmicks. Cast includes Catherine Deneuve, Michel Piccoli, Melvil Poupaud, Andrzej Seweryn, and Bernadette LaFont. (114 minutes, 1997)

I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead: (2004-U.S.British) C-I02 Abrupt death of a youthful want to be hustler brings his brother, a prior local crime boss out of seclusion, looking for justice. Doesn’t inspire and isn’t especially fascinating, and takes its time getting there, to boot. This film is a disheartening reunion for the director and megastar of Croupier. Cast includes Clive Owen, Charlotte Rampling, and Malcolm McDowell. (102 minutes, 2004)

Heartaches: Pegnant Potts drops spouse Carradine who is not the toddler’s dad and gets to be the unwilling friend of gentleman-seeking screwball Kidder. Fine steel behaviors kindle this little comedy. Cast includes Margot Kidder, Annie Potts, Robert Carradine, Winston Rekert, George Touliatos, and Man Sanvido. (93 minutes, 1981)

You, Me And Dupre: Just settling into their new marriage Carl and Molly run into a problem. Dupre, best man at their wedding, is down on his luck and needs a place to stay.

Hitch: Alex Hitchens is a profession hook up man. He helps men succeed with the women of their dreams, for a fee. He eventually meets the woman of his dreams. Will she love him when she learns who he really is?

The Stepford Wives: An up to date remake of the 1975 film of the same name. The town of Stepford, on first look, seems like the perfect place. Everything in Stepford seems perfect. Newcomers to Stepford Joanne and Bobbie are starting to wonder what is going on. Will they figure it out before it is too late?

Hannibal: It has been ten years since Hannibal had escaped. Mason Verger, Hannibal’s sixth victim, a survivor, has obsessive revenge on his mind. His plot includes using agent Starling for bait. He feels Hannibal will not be able to resist.

La Promesse: Harrowing story of a boy being brought up by a dad who ruthlessly capitalizes on, unlawful immigrants as their assumed savior, and master. Trouble starts while the boy, who’s unconditionally obeyed his dad unquestioningly, creates a kinship with one of the illegal aliens. Moving in its understated, matter-of-truth check out a youthful guy at a ethical crossroads in his life. Cast includes Jeremie Renier, Olivier Gourmet, Assita Ouedraogo, and Rasmane Ouedraogo. (93 minutes, 1996)

China Moon: Tiny-town cop Harris lusts after miserably wedded Stowe in this moody film noir. A few nice twirls, although production is more than a tad comparable to the better Body Heat. This is a directorial debut for Bailey, more superiorly known as a top cinematographer. Cast includes Madeline Stowe, Charles Dance, Benicio Del Taro, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Roger Aaron Brown, and Patricia Healy. (99 minutes, 1994)

I remember that as a child my mom used to play music from our casette player. She loves music and has an entire collection of Abba, Angela Bofil, Stevie Wonder and all those famous artists of the 1970′s. my brothers and I literally grew up listening to “Break it to me gently” and “Lately”. I may not have inherited her penchant ofr music but one influence that I gained strongly from her is her passion for reading- almost anything. That is the reason why I have to wear glasses as a kid and now, contact lenses to correct my vision.

Talking about great American artists of the 70′s, Abba is one of them. They are a band composed of four members who have contributed timeless hits-some are still being played on the radio up to now. One example of their timeless hit is the song: Mamma Mia which has also been a musical and movie at the same time. I was fortunate enough to watch a DVD copy of it at home and I must admit that I was impressed by the movie’s setting and costumes.

This year, all the local talents of Hawaii will once again show their acting and singing prowess to the attendees. At Honolulu, Hawaii there will be a restaging of the famous Musical. All Abba enthusiasts are encouraged to attend this yearly event where spectators and fans are gathered in one place. We will once again see the usual set of frindly characters that made Mamma Mia: the Musical a huge success all over the world.

Come to think of it, Hawaii is indeed a nation full of talented individuals considering that it is like a melting pot, a mxture of different races that have managed to collaborate and live well with each other.

Rogues are a strange class in WoW. Most people either love to play as a Rogue, or absolutely hate Rogues. They are great characters for PvP’s and Dueling as they are incredibly illusive. If you have ever fought a battle against Rogue, you’ll know they can be a real handful.

Rogues are melee classes and they largely depend on their skill at avoiding hits than fighting head on. Rogues should always keep a close watch on agro meters as if a Rogue gets the attention of a boss, it’ll be killed in a heartbeat.

Successful Rogue leveling is built around having a good knowledge of the class.

1.) You’re not a power-killer!

You must realize from the very beginning that you are not designed to take a mob head on. That kind of tactic is fine at lower levels where your massive DPS output can kill the opponent before they can do enough damage to kill you, but when you start getting up into the higher levels you simply cannot do this because mobs simply hit too hard.

2.) Keep an Eye on Agro Meters

Rogues kill bosses by keeping a close watch on agro meters not by giving massive blows. Remember this – it is critical to your success.

3.) Rogues best defense is to avoid hits.

Rogues should work on agility. The more agility a Rogue has, the more dodge ability it will have – and this means you’ll be less likely to get hit.

4.) Optimize your equipment

Something that is applicable to all classes in World of Warcraft is that they should maximize the damage they do during battle. To do this, always ensure you have the best equipment possible.

The best equipment for a rogue should give you high levels of Agility, Attack Power, Haste, and Critical Strike. Of these four attributes, agility is the most important. Pick your equipment with this in mind.

5.) Lockdown

A highly effective way to kill opponents is by locking them down. If fighting 2 enemies at the same time, first sap one and then work on killing the other using gouging and other abilities. Next repeat this process to destroy enemy number 2.

When you are leveling as a Rogue, remember you are not a tank, in groups keep an eye on the agro meter, keep your agility as high as you can, maximize your equipment and learn to lockdown your opponents. If you master these simple steps then your leveling should be much easier.

Whenever you start having issues with your Xbox 360, many times it’s because of things you did. The reason Microsoft hasn’t had any huge lawsuits against them outside of the scratching games problem, is because most problems revolve around improper use. However, you purchased this gaming console to play it right? Then you should be able to enjoy all the benefits without hassle.

The first thing that you need to think about is that you don’t want to do anything to hurt the console. Most of the nasty errors that you are going to run into have a lot to do with overheating the system and with hard drive failure. Take some time and really consider what you need to know about the coding error messages and the lights.

This is why it’s extremely important to assess the issue and try to figure out why your system isn’t functioning properly. One Xbox 360 fault that is very common is overheating. Over time your system will build up a good collection of dust on the inside. Eventually it will get to the point where your cooling center over works itself, and in turn overheats. When you start to notice the console freezing during game play, this is usually the culprit.

You may also find that you are having hard drive problems. When you are getting those ominous three rings, also known as the the 3 Red Rings of Death, your hard drive might be fried. You may not be able to read games correctly, or you might not even be able to turn on the machine again. This is an error that tells you to see if your warranty is still good!

Then of course you have the infamous reading disc error. This also involves problems relating to dust that has built up in the system. Do you really want to have someone else open up the system and clean it out for you? Yes, when it comes to the read disc error, it means the laser is dirty and other parts of the area as well. The good news is it’s a simple fix if you know what you’re doing.

What it eventually comes down to is whether or not you want to spend the money having someone else do it for you. While it is the easy way out, it can also be full of headaches along the way. What is said to take four to six weeks ends up taking longer and is basically taking away from your gaming fun. While this may be true, there are solutions to all your problems all in one place.
