Opening on Oct 25, 2001, Polaris Fashion Place is a multi level shopping center on the northern side of Columbus, Ohio. The mall, locally owned by Glimcher Realty Trust, is located just off Interstate 71 on Polaris Parkway in Delaware County. It is located just north of the line between Franklin and Delaware Counties. The mall’s main anchors are Von Maur, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s (formerly Lazarus), Sears, JCPenney, and The Great Indoors. A former Kaufmann’s Store has been torn down to make new room for an outdoor shopping district. The mall features 150 plus other stores, plus a nice food court with lots of choices located on the upper deck. The unique architecture of the main stairwells of the mall were made to resemble a high heeled shoe.
One of the biggest shopping malls ever built is located in central Ohio. This 1 million plus square foot mall development sits adjacent to the Polaris Parkway. The Polaris Mall features more than 150 stores, so there is going to be store to please everyone in this giant mall. If you ever travel to Ohio you may just want to make a point of visiting the Polaris Mall to check out all the shopping, entertainment, fashions, music and some excellent food.
This high end shopping mall provides features such leather chairs, wood coffee tables, stone, wood and carpeting. You don’t normally see that kind of furnishings in most newer malls today. All of the common areas of the mall feature natural ambient lighting. This 2 story mall has three escalators, 2 staircases and 3 elevators to help you easily navigate the quarter-mile building. To keep the money flowing freely for all the stores, they also provide 3 convenient ATMs. To exit the building you can choose from 6 separate exits.
This mall is known to put on some of the most spectacular events that benefit customers as well as the community. One event is put on by Benihana where they sell childrens meals and all the proceeds are then donated to the very worthwhile St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. The mall also helps to put on a big advertising display for the Race for the Cure Foundation.
Polaris takes customer service seriously by offering travel arrangements for visitors, complete transportation services, wheel chairs, walkers and strollers for the children. You can avail yourself of their personal shopper service also. There are 80 plus rest rooms placed around the facility, their are also nursing rooms and of course they have handicap accessibility.
Other unique services include valet parking. To use this service a client would simply drop off their vehicle at the central drop off area, and then can pick up their car at the mall entrance. You won’t have to drag all your purchases around the mall as you can leave them at a convenient coat and package check point. To top it all off you can get a fantastic shoe shine while you’re at the mall. The lower level in between Sears and Saks Fifth Avenue even has a wonderful kids play area.
The Polaris Mall consists of six well known anchor stores, which are The Great Indoors, Sears, Macys, JC Penney, Von Maur and the posh Saks Fifth Avenue. You certainly wont go hungry while you’re at the mall, because there are eight food halls to choose from. The Molly Woos, Brio Tuscan Grille, The Cheesecake Factory and the California Pizza Kitchen are all complete service restaurants in the mall.
Polaris Mall has also partnered with some terrific local hotels that allow you to get special group rates for rooms, all are conveniently located within a few minutes drive to the mall. The Shop & Stay packages include the Comfort Inn, Best Western, and Embassy Suites.
Some of the fine food specialties for your sweet tooth in the mall are the Godiva Chocolatier, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and if that doesn’t make your mouth water then visit Auntie Annes Hand-Rolled Soft Pretzels shop and that ought to do the trick.
You will easily stay amused for many hours with the unusual stores, such as Victorias Secret, the Sunglass Hut, Hat World and the world famous Disney Store. If you brought the kids along with you they hear about the Disney Store, you better plan on staying in the mall for quite a long time! The Polaris Mall provides a divers selection of just about every type of shopping you can imagine – all in one very well designed shopping mall.
