Finding Right Keywords
Many people are now turning towards search engine optimization to get free traffic from the search engines. Most try to optimize each webpage of their site for a particular keyword. Rank well and get good traffic from search engines but dont make any sales.
Most fail because they had not optimized the webpage of their site with the right keyword. Without the right keywords to optimize your site, you will be mostly wasting months of efforts on SEO.
One thing must be very clear. SEO is a long process involving many things. But choice of right keyword can save you lot of wasted effort. All keywords do not convert into sales. There are only a few keywords in each niche that will convert into sales. There are many different opinions about the kind of keywords that convert.
One word general keywords like forex, weight loss, dating, health etc, have a lot of traffic. But most of that traffic is useless as it does not convert.

Long tail keywords get less traffic but are thought to convert well. But you never know until you test. Conversion into sales is a function of keywords and the sales copy. One website may convert into sales very well on a particular keyword. But another website on that same keyword may fail to convert into sales at all.
Only way to find the golden keywords that convert are through PPC. You will have to run a PPC campaign on your site to find the keywords that convert.
Only through PPC you can find the list of golden keywords that convert, each with its conversion ratio. Now, you can use them for the search engine optimization of your site. Clicks on organic traffic are usually five to six times high as compared to PPC. So you are going to make many sales.
