The LeBron James Story Of Fame And Riches
Known to some as “King James,” LeBron James is a famous basketball player that currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron has had a long, decorated, career of awards and milestones in the sport of basketball. Just 24 years old, he has a long career ahead of him to look forward to.
LeBron James started off life in Ohio, where he remained for his high school years. That is where LeBron started to shine by getting picked to be a started in his freshman year. This feat is unprecedented, and something only truly skilled basketball players an achieve. Even at this young age, LeBron managed to obtain over a 20-point average for each game.
Sophomore year of high school was even better for King James, as he ended up obtaining the name “Mr. Basketball” among the state of Ohio after a state victory. LeBron’s statistics continued to improve, being bumped up to 25 points each game- something on par with professional athletes in the NBA. Clearly on the road to success, LeBron continued to stay out of trouble and refining his game.
Basketball is something that LeBron felt strongly about, and as such, his passions didn’t waiver in the least in his final years in high school. Whereas most teenagers in his shoes would have completed high school without a single thought, LeBron James instead had the good idea to get to the NBA early. Unfortunately his petition to do so failed, and he hadn’t graduated high school, so he had to finish out the final two years of his high school career before hitting the professional courts.
The NBA Draft was a good show for LeBron, who was quickly picked up by the Cavaliers as a first pick. LeBron decided to show everyone what he was made of, and in his first game managed to get an unprecedented amount of steals, blocks, assists, and points. Unsurprisingly, LeBron made the qualifications for the Rookie of the Year award and was even selected to play for the All-Star game that the NBA holds periodically.
It’s good to note that James LeBron is still a young adult, and with his achievements has established himself as one of the biggest names in the past ten years of the NBA. LeBron’s history only shows that he has managed to increase his abilities with each year, so it will be exciting to see where LeBron takes the Cavaliers in the future, should he choose to stay with them.
Final Thoughts
Basketball stars don’t come as often as they should, and the fact that LeBron has come along has shown that the bar is set much higher for those to follow him. That doesn’t mean he is near to being done, as LeBron has at least 10-20 years before packing up his jersey.
