Best Ideas for Stories
Have you ever wanted to write something, but had no idea where to start? It can be an interesting conundrum that is very common among writers. The best question to ask yourself is, how do you feel? What sparks your emotion? What makes you happy or sad? Under what circumstances are your blissful or angry? Value your emotions, because they will all feed into what you will ultimately decide to write.
All of us have are own perspectives and through this prism is where the ideas and stories come from. The stories come from our own lives and the lives of people close to us.
Any time you leave your home the potential for a great story is there all around you. We are all encompassed by a host of unwritten stories just waiting to be written. The more experiences you have will all make it easier for you to develop them. The best tip I could give a new writer is to travel as much as possible. Go as far away as possible, live a little, and broaden your horizons.
The reason for this is as I just stated to broaden your horizon. The second thing is that the more you travel and experience the better. You will not only grow as a person, but you will also grow as a writer. It can only make you a better writer. Watch and listen when you are out, you will be surprised by the things that will inspire you to write.
Then there are the stories you hear from family and friends that can plant the seed for a story. Another good place to find ideas for stories is the news. Newspapers, magazines, Television, and just so you know taking an idea from one of these forms of the media is not plagiarism.
Dreams are another good place, I always keep either a pencil and pad or a recorder near my bed so that if I dream of something that I think might make a good story I can write it down. The best tool a writer has when writing fiction is your imagination. My name is Luke Wilson and I’m an avid consumer writer. I write about everything from the basic day to day items to the latest in technology and health.
