Cheap LCDs
It seems like everything these days has become disposable. Consumers, looking only at the bottom line of price, are willing to spend a fraction of the cost for a much more inferior product. After all, times are tough, and nobody wants to pay a pound more for anything unless they have to.
However, with certain purchases, you are actually shooting yourself in the foot by buying the cheapest no name brand products. It is much more likely that a cheap television made by a no name brand will break down than it is that a name brand television set will.
The main goal of the manufacturers of cheap televisions is to make the most inexpensive product that they can. They are well aware of the fact that an incredibly low price can be an irresistible temptation. After all, for the same price as the brand name TV, you might be able to get a cheap TV that is almost twice as large!
But because they are really only concerned with making a low-cost product, the manufacturers of the no name brand almost always use the cheapest materials available to create their products out of. These companies are not looking to compete with the brand names, so they do not have to worry about their reputation. So, there is no reason for these companies to try their best to ensure that their product is good. And these no name brands do not offer warranties, so there is not much you can do when your cheap plasma TV breaks down.
And because they are made of such poor quality materials, no name brand cheap televisions are always breaking down. The average life of a no name television is only three to six years while a name brand television can last for decades.
So then, you are mad because you spent what is still a decent amount of money on a set that didn’t last. The last thing you want to do is spend a whole lot more to get a name brand set. You may be tempted to do the same thing again and buy a different cheap LCD television made by a different no name brand.
The problem is, however, that many of the no name cheap television sets are actually all made at the same factory. And there is no way for you as the consumer to know where the set was made. So the other cheap television may be made of the same low quality internal components and circuits as the first set. And the last thing you want is for the same exact problem happen all over again!
When you purchase a brand name television made by Philips, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, JVC, Pioneer, or Panasonic, however, the television set is backed up by a warranty. Also, you know when you purchase a name brand set that it was made from quality materials. So, in the long run, buying a brand name set is a much better value.
