Watchmen DVD – Action Geared For Adults
This was one of those films that I never really has any intention on seeing. It just happened that all of my friends were going and asked me to join so I looked at it as a night out of the home and away from the kids! Now, I am so glad I did and I anxiously await the release of the DVD later this month, in fact I have already pre-ordered it.
Now this movie is based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons and is set against the backdrop of the Cold War this movie is about an alternative 1985 and the darkness and fear that plague the universe during that time. Now this film, like any good vs. evil action flick, takes on a world of its own with meaning that is deep and a well developed plot.
This is not just a comic book, but comic book characters on the big screen, with incredible visual effects and action that will keep you on the edge of your seat. And best yet, this is a film that was totally created to capture an adult audience, which is a treat because most of the action features of this nature are a lot more juvenile in flavor.
The extra DVD features have not been released yet, but what we do know is that there is said to be a total of, at least 2 hours. It has also been rumored that there is an ultimate edition in the works that will be following the release. This DVD will include different versions of the movie.
Watchman is scheduled for a DVD release date of July 27,2009, although it is available for pre-purchase at most reputable online retailers, like www.cdwow.com. Pre-ordering your copy is a great idea, as it ensures that you will get your copy when it is released instead of driving to a store to find out that they have no more copies in stock. Watching is a great action film and is one you will definitely want to watch over and over again.
