Cigars are for the ladies too
When people think about Cuban cigars, usually the mental picture that phrase creates is a bunch of old guys sitting around on leather chairs puffing on thick long Cuban cigars. They sometimes might have a glass of Scotch or something on the side and they are surrounded by a huge cloud of smoke that is covering ninety percent of their face.
It’s funny how much we let women fight for their ‘nature given’ rights. Women should be treated with the up most love and respect in anything we do, after all, they are our women right? However it has been a long journey that is still on going and Cuban cigars just happen to be one of the few things that women and men enjoy together. Although it was never like this.
When Cuban cigars did get popular, which was around the mid nineteen hundreds, it was actually the women and men who enjoyed it together. Cuban cigars were immediately embraced by the Monarchs of Europe and than passed down to each royal family member. When Cuban cigars got popular it was only something available to the rich and famous. This was the era when the middle class didn’t exist, you were either super rich or super poor.
So what finally got society to except women as Cuban cigar smokers? Believe it or not, it was Hollywood. Yes when the rich and famous and the talented started smoking Cuban cigars in the 1990s, everybody wanted to get in on it. Even women were like shocked to see other beautiful women smoke Cuban cigars. It was just a wonderful thing that was good for everybody including the genre of Cuban cigars. When the ladies in Hollywood started doing it, all the ladies wanted to get in on the craze.
It was not long after that that everybody in the world in particular women started Cuban cigar smoking. Young, successful non Hollywood type of women started smoking Cohiba’s and Montecristo’s and soon Women were back on par with Men when it came to Cuban cigar smoking. They fought again and they won, let’s all go out right now find a beautiful woman and share a Cuban cigar with her.
