Great Cheap Gaming Computers
Sure you tossed around the idea of building your own gaming computer. But who has the time? Plus it can get expensive fast, especially if you’re a noob at building computers. Yes, we all know about the great almighty leading manufacturer, but are you going to pay more for your gaming computer than your car? In reality you can get good quality, cheap gaming computers, if you know what you’re looking for.
You’re not the only one who got caught up on the hype of the big manufacturers. But in reality who can afford them? Dell, Alienware and other major computer companies offer a variety of high-end gaming systems that can break the bank. However, there are alternatives. You just have to know what to look for in a system to get a good deal.
A good gaming system will have four main components: Processor, Memory, Video card, and the all important Cooling system.
Processor: One of the most important components in your gaming system is the processor. Inside the processor are the brains of the operation, these brains are called the “Core”. You’ve heard the old saying, two heads are better than one. When looking at any gaming system, make sure the processor is at least a dual core, but try to find low cost quad cores. If possible, look for systems with multiple processors with dual or quad cores.
Memory: While your processors are making the system go, the memory keeps track of what you are doing and what steps come next. If your system has really fast processors, but is light on memory, your games will still run slow. Memory is measured in GB or gigabytes. A decent office computer will typically have about 2GB of memory. A good gaming system should have at least 4GB and when possible 8GB or more.
Video Card: Alright this is not where you skimp on cost. You will want a great video card for your computer. If for some reason you skimp out on this, don’t expect to be the leader in any of your games. In fact, you might want to get use to seeing your screen player doing good one minute and being attacked the next. Your video card will be to slow to let you see in real time. If you want to get into gaming make sure you have an updated video card, 512MB or better should do the trick.
Cooling System: If you plan on playing your game for a couple hours at a time the cooling system is crucial to your gaming computer. There are two main types of cooling systems you can get for your gaming computer. Air cooled and the liquid cooled. You will see debates running on this one day and night. The main key is to keep your computer from overheating.
There are websites that provide great low cost gaming systems. You will find when looking at these websites they also offer information on new and upcoming gaming systems. You will also find other gamers giving out information and tips on their sites. Which is also a plus for any gamer. The price on your gaming system has nothing to do with how good of a gamer you are. Becoming a master gamer is all on you, not your system.
You will find you have several options when choosing a cheap reliable computer. Look and ask around about different gaming computers before you buy. You will find most cheap gaming computers have online reviews you can look at. Research the product and see if it comes with a warranty. You don’t have to buy the first gaming computer you see. Unless you know it is the right one.
