Telepathy is when one person transfers their thoughts and emotions to another person often over great distances.

We have been used to using language for such a long time that we find it hard to think of telepathy in the same way. However, there have been several scientists and animal trainers who are completely convinced that animals have the power of telepathy. Would you believe that telepathy is linked to your sixth sense? Well it is and you may hear some refer to it as the third eye. Whatever name you have for it, telepathy should just come to be second nature.

You may not even realize the times that this happens to you, but everyone has telepathy as a tool. The only problem is most people don’t know how to use it. Oddly enough we experience it all the time and call it instinct instead. Maybe you’re driving home from work and just have a bad feeling about something at home, and then when you get there a problem arises. These are considered “gut feelings” and while many people accept this as an answer, they don’t realize that it has to do with telepathy. The most common instance you will hear is the connection between a mother and child.

What you’ll find is that our society has simply lost touch with the ability to utilize our telepathic power. How this began will probably never be answered, but it’s believed that it was constantly down played by religions all over the world. Most predominantly were Christianity and Islam. They believe that this is the power of Satan and not a tool the human mind already has inside.

The debate over this subject continues to surface every now and again, but the truth of the matter is that religions have a lot of power over our civilization. We are taught that our own natural abilities should be pushed aside for the Messiah, the Savior, or the Prophet (depending on your religion).

While we aren’t trying to offend anyone, you have to ask why religions would be so distrustful of telepathy. Our own opinion is that if others possess a power such as this, they can challenge the leaders of the church. Since no one wants to lose their power, they keep everyone suppressed about the matter. Granted, it’s not like this everyone, but when cases arise it’s usually the reason.

While this is a major problem, there are many other issues as well. One of the biggest has to do with the assurance that comes from science. While most scientists believe there is a connection between telepathy and the mind, there are some out there that just can’t accept it. On a lawful approach, some scientists believe that telepathy cannot be numerically measured, tasted, or touched.

Instead you will find that we classify telepathic experiences as connections and instincts. We believe this is true only because those scientists, who try to bring the negative side to it, can’t experience it themselves. However, they’re always quick to acknowledge a strange or gut feeling as an instinct. While this wouldn’t normally be a big deal, it’s hard to understand considering these traits are just as elusive as telepathy.

Some believe it could be that the scientists who oppose telepathy are simply jealous. After all, it doesn’t seem fair that someone could do something like this, which is why they don’t want anyone else to have them. So instead of branding something different, it is always considered an instinctive response.

This mystery may never be solved, but there are definitely different scenarios that could be true. Another version dates back to biblical times when the Tower of Babylon story came around. Even though the languages were brought about to migrate people, it could be the same for telepathy. Hopefully some day we’ll get a definitive answer.

This is a film about Howard Hughes and in particular his love for aviation. The film begins in Hughes directing era when he is making Hells Angels. While in production of his film Hughes is constantly pushing the boundaries of aviation and eventually buys TWA and challenges Pan Ams monopoly on international flights. Of course the Herculesmore commonly known as the Spruce Gooseis included in the film as well as the congressional hearings and Hughes eventual demise due to his obsessive compulsive disorder. The Aviator, deservedly nominated for Best Picture, and in my opinion, a much better film than the winner that year, Million Dollar Baby.

The Aviator has a stellar cast highlighted by Leonardo DiCaprios (Titanic,Gangs of New York) portrayal of Mr. Hughes. DiCaprio is wonderful at having an attitude about not caring about money, when ever there is a problem, his solution is to buy it or hire someone to fix it. For example Personally, I thought Leonardo DiCaprio could have won an Oscar for this role. I though both he and Don Cheadle (nominated for Hotel Rwanda) were better than Jamie Foxx in Ray, but we all have our opinions. hiring Professor Fitz, played by Ian Holm (Lord of the Rings), to monitor clouds for in teh background in the movie Hells Angels. DiCaprio is also great in slowly introducing the obsessive compulsive side of Howard Hughes. From being paranoid about washing his hands to the extreme side when he has locked himself in a room, totally naked, trying to avoid any type of germ.

As I mentioned this film has a great cast, and many very nice performances..Alan Alda (MASH) was nominated as best supporting actor for his role as Senator Brewster, Alec Baldwin (Beetlejuice) as Juan Trippe, and even a small role for Jude Law (The Talented Mr Ripley) playing actor Errol Flynn. The other outstanding performance, which did result in an Oscar, was Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth) playing Katherine Hepburn. She was incredible with her accent and the way she carried herself in general.

Behind the camera is Martin Scorsese (Best Director The Departed), and usually what ever he is involved with turns out nothing less than great. Again, another Oscar could have been won here as I thought for directing, he did a much better job and took more risks than Clint Eastwood for Million Dollar Baby. (Although I never mind seeing Clint Eastwood win anything, he has become an American icon.) For instance, look at the first hour of the Aviator, there are no greens in the movie to reflect a look and tone of the time. No your TV does not need adjusting, even the green peas on the plate are blue. The Aviator with its grand scale and top notch cast needed a great director like Martin Scorsese, as where I believe there are a handful of directors that could have done Million Dollar Baby.

It will give you an appreciation of what Howard Hughes did for the field of aviation and the airline industry. At least see this once. As much as I have mentioned the word Oscar here, it did take home 5 Oscars and deservedly so. If you have not seen this film, this is really a great movie and worth watching.

Is there no end to Spiderman’s popularity? The answer is a resounding “no”. Spiderman is one of those timeless classic superheroes which appeal to young and old alike, with Spiderman costumes continuing to be top sellers for fancy dress retailers.

Spiderman costumes are merchandised to adult and child alike, from the red Spiderman costume, to the new black Spiderman “Venom” look. Accessories include red or black gloves and boot covers with the classic webbing pattern printed on them. An enormous range of Spiderman toys, bed linen, lunch boxes and memorabilia is also widely available.

The next big-screen version of our hero is due in 2011, with the producers promising many more to follow. We now know that Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2 are among the top twenty biggest grossing films of all time, so clearly the producers are not going to stop. It makes sense to stick with a winning formula.

Surprisingly a musical based on the superhero is being set up, called “Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark” which will be, according to reports,the most expensive production in Broadway history. The film will feature songs from U2, and is sure to be a great hit.

A report came in that in Thailand a child was rescued by a fireman wearing a spiderman outfit. Apparently the child crawled out on the roof to escape the fire and would not come back when called by his teacher. A fireman overhead his mother saying he loved spiderman. So we want back to the fire station, to put on a spidey outfit he just happened to have in his locker, and returned to coax the child back to safety.

When the boy saw the fireman he smiled and promptly threw himself into his superhero’s arms. It transpires the fireman keeps a Spiderman costume in his locker to liven up fire drills in schools.

Another international news story appeared in the Israeli press and had spiderman throwing ropes at cars in town and then jumping on top of them. You can see the power that our superhero has with men.

AS expected the police arrested him very quickly. Under questioning later, he recounted that he had woken up in hospital and found himself dressed in the costume. He remembered nothing else. So doctors were called in to asses his mental health. If they profiled many of us they would realize many have a secret desire to dress up and become Spiderman.

Everyone tells you that you should write a book, right? Well, it’s not quite as simple as that, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Writing the book is actually the easy part, it’s putting the required proposal together than often stumps the would-be author. Here are the basic elements to get you started:

1. The Overview. This is where you give a general idea of what your book is about and why it’s ‘hook’ is unique from others on the same topic. Discuss the worldly environment that it will be born into and why the time is now for it to come forth. What’s more, why are you the person to do so? If you have a book idea about dog obedience, for example, and have personally tamed three crazy shelter dogs, make your case!

2. The Table of Contents and Chapter Outline: You’ll need at least ten chapters. Have you thought about the different purpose of each chapter? Once you have, write engaging titles for each chapter and then a lead paragraph to demonstrate your unique writing style.

3. The Introduction. What, exactly, is the purpose of a book’s Introduction anyway? Check a few non-fiction titles out at the library and get a feel for them. You’ll see that there’s no hard and fast rules, but generally the Introduction is the author’s chance to explain what he or she is about to tell you. Or maybe it’s his/her chance to explain why they wrote the book in the first place.

4. Target Markets. This is where you take off your author hat and become all business. Publishers want to know that you understand the audience for your message. How old are they? What is their disposable income and why would they spend it on your book? Provide statistics to support your findings (and beef up the argument that your book is needed!).

5. Competitive Titles. There are probably several books on the shelves right now that cover your material. Let publishers know that you are fully aware of that by offering two or three of the titles and then contrasting your message with theirs. Of course, prove that your book’s message is far superior from what already exists!

6. Author Background. Once the publisher is convinced that your book is marketable, you need to prove that you have what it takes to write it. What is your background with regards to the title and your work ethic in general? Granted, you may never have published a book before, but you’ve worked in business for twenty years, meet deadlines and exceed expectations on a daily basis. You also should know that a publisher seeks to sell at least 10,000 books in order to consider a book from a first-time author a success. How will you as an author support this number? Do you teach dog obedience every Saturday? Have you written a related column in your local newspaper? In short, if you can prove that you have a built-in audience; this is where you do it.

7. Promotions. The days of book tours and marketing departments are all but gone for anyone but best sellers. As such, publishers want to know if the author has any ideas on how to get the word out about their book. Would you print up book marks for your cookbook and ask local supermarkets to put them in their shopping bags? Get creative here and let the publisher know that you will do your part to make the book a success after they publish it.

Make sure that you write legal names, beginning with your name, your executors and your beneficiaries. Nicknames are not legally accepted. Writing a will early can be a little morbid or having a death wish lurking behind your back. But being prepared for the future of your family should be your prime concern regardless of how you view an early death.
