Paintball is a fun and exciting activity for those of all walks of life. Since its introduction 15 years ago, it has grown substantially as far as popularity. Each and every year, more individuals around the globe are making their way to paintball establishments to try this adrenaline pumping sport.
The activity itself is not a harmful one as some people believe it to be. This sport has rules for being in possession of strong, armor-like gear that helps block the impact of the ammunition. The paintball itself travels very quickly; therefore, it is not suggested you play if you do not have the appropriate armor. Paintball shops exist all over the United States; they all enforce rules, codes of conducts, and rent gear for people that don’t bring it. These employees know what the rules are and will explain them.
Even though it is harmless mainly if you have the right armor, the red spot left by the ammunition can sometimes leave a small clot around the impact site(s). This, though, is only blood that came to the surface and will stay for a few days. This is not dangerous and cannot lead to any major health issues in people of good health. Although, shots to the head, neck, privates, or chest area can be dangerous – the protective armor covering these key spots is important. Individuals with medical issues must be singed off for by a doctor to participate. It can be very tough, especially if one player is older battling with kids. So, it is necessary that one can run fast to escape being shot and out of the game. Also, you have to be able to suck wind well because there is a lot of running around.
The most popular game known with paintball guns is ‘Capture the Flag’. This game consists of two groups/sides in which each of their goal is to make it to the the flag. If a player is hitwith a paintball during the game, he/she is out of the game. The center area is where the paintballs are flying. It is a good idea to eliminate as many individuals from the other side as possible before going for the flag.
Paintball is fun way to be involved. Like, however, with any sport, it is recommended you have the best gear. Most yards do not take players who have no armor. This is to increase safety of each and every individual out there. In addition, some have rules against rapid-fire types of guns because this kind can be seen as not fair to those carrying semi-automatics or inferior weapons.
Paintball is known to be an expensive sport to play. The suits alone can cost a couple hundred dollars and weapons come close in price. Most yards rent the weapon and armor and sell ammunition but you are not forced to buy anything from them. Though, it is suggested to invest in your own stuff if you plan on continuing the sport of paintball. Buying the gear like this will lower your overall cost in the long run if you choose to buy instead of rent.
