Here’s How To Level A Priest
Interested in figuring out how to level a Priest? Well, before we go into that, its good to know what the Priest is all about first.
Not everyone will enjoy playing a Priest, but if you want to be considered a valuable asset to any group due to a powerful ability to heal, the Priest is your guy. The Priest at the same time though can dish out serious damage with their Shadow tree.
If you want to know how to level a Priest though, the first thing you have to realize is that leveling is going to be difficult to begin with. Most people cant stick it out to see where the Priest really shines. Once you hit level 20 things should start to improve, but once you hit level 40, you’ll really hit your stride.
Now if you’re looking to dish out serious damage, you do have the option of going down the shadow tree which will turn your Priest into a DPS machine. The good thing about that is that you’ll also be good at de-buffing and buffing so its not like your value is lost in groups.
As you can see, the Priest is a very versatile class and also highly sought after. If you enjoy being an integral component to the strength of a party, becoming a Priest is a good move.
Now as for how to level a Priest, initially your spell rotation will be to Smite, then Mind Blast, cast Shadow Word: Pain and then Power Word: Shield.
As you progress from level 20 on though, you can move on to a rotation like Smite, Mind Blast, Shadow Word: Pain, Power Word: Shield and Devouring Plague.
When it comes to the late levels, IE: levels 60-80, you will again need to switch things up and try something like Power Word: Shield, Vampiric Touch, Mind Blast, Vampiric Embrace, Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague and finally Mind Flay.
This should help you well enough to get through the game without a hitch. If you need more detail though, you might want to look into a guide.
