Seaside Players: Cast includes John Leyton, Mike Same, Freddie and The Dreamers, Ron Moody, and Liz Fraser. Group of adolescents performing at seaside resort dispose for a talent competition which is to be the highlight of the summer season. (94 minutes, 1965)
After the Rehearsal: Fuller returned to filmmaking after a long hiatus with this lucid, autobiographical account of a particular infantly battalion and its courageous sergeant throughout WW2. Difficult to trust one film might bundle so much into its narrative, an opulent, moving, practical, and poetic film. Carradine depicts and plays Fuller’s doppelganger, complete with cigar. Cast includes Erland Josephson, Ingrid Thulin, Lena Olin, Nadja PaJrnstjema-Weiss, and Bertil Guve. (112 minutes, 1984)

Double Wedding: Loy’s orchestration of her sis’s marriage ceremony is upset by the presence of free spirited bohemian Powell. Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams: 8 vignettes-progressively apocolyptic “dreamt” by an 80-year-old man widely considered as the best living filmmaker of the times. Cast includes Akira Kurosawa. Akira Terao, Mitsuko Baisho, Mieko Harada, Chishu Ryu, Milsunori Isaki, Toshihiko Nakano, Y oshitaka Zushi, and Toshie Negishi. (120 minutes, 1990)
