When you consider that 71% of the planet is comprised of water, finding any one particular fish seems like a veritable needle in a haystack — albeit a very wet, soggy haystack. Armed with this premise, Disney and Pixars FINDING NEMO soared to box office heights rarely enjoyed by an animated feature. To be sure, this little gem of a film remains the highest grossing animated film — ever.

FINDING NEMO subscribes to the same thematic arch that makes any coming-of-age story appealing: little fish yearns to see the world, is forced to survive, and yearns to come home, begin enriched by his experience and the friends he has made. Nemo, voiced by Alexander Gould, is tired of his overbearing father, Marlin, voiced by the incomparable and perennially dour, Albert Brooks. When a scuba diver scoops Nemo up, Marlin is beside himself with panic. So starts a fathers journey to find his clownfish son.

Before long a regal tang, Dory, voiced by the ever dry, ever humorous Ellen DeGeneres, joins Marlin. Though Dory suffers from chronic short-term memory loss, her bubbly optimism buoys the ever-dour, ever-worrying Marlin. They soon make way for Australia to find Nemo. Meanwhile, Nemo has found his way into a fish tank, where a Moorish Idol, Gill, voiced by Willem Dafoe, is intent on making a break for it. As they try to break free from the tank, Marlin and Dory make every effort to find the na”ve clownfish.

One of the highest grossing films in 2003, FINDING NEMO still holds the box office record for being the highest earning animated film in history, with $864 million worldwide. It went on to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and was lauded by the American Film Institute as the tenth greatest animated film of all time.

Side note, tourism to Australia surged during the summer and autumn months of 2003. Whether or not FINDING NEMO was a direct influence, the Australian Tourism Commission was quick to use clips of the film to bombard American television audiences. Likewise, the demand for clownfish soared in 2003. The demand was so great many pet stores could not keep the colorful fish in stock. The power of popular perception should never be discounted.

Composition is a tricky thing to master. Unlike the technical aspects of picture-taking, composition cannot be measured like exposure, white balance or focus. It?s a subjective thing that requires personal taste and an appreciation for a range of aspects such as line, shape, perspective and value ? to name a few.

Without a sold set of rules, composing photographs well can feel a little overwhelming. In this article you will discover some of the aspects that contribute a well-composed shot. Its up to you to figure out the best combination for you shot, put them into practice and asses how you can use them o emphasise your scene. Its about self expression and evoking mood and atmosphere, rather than replicating the scene as your camera sees it. The world composition is defined as a mixture of ingredients ? here we?ll provide the ingredients but then its your job to make the cake.

One of the first things you need to establishes in your scene is what to keep and what to discard. You need to actively edit your scene to get the best from it.

This could mean waiting for a person to get out of the shot, hardening a few distracting blades of grass from the flower or simply deciding to only photograph part of the scene rather than all of it.

If you learn on thing about composition, the key is to simplify your scene as much as you can. Photographing the bare essentials will provide a far more striking image than a muddle of conflicting elements screaming at the viewer from every direction. A simple crop, moving in closer or removing the unnecessary extras can all work wonders to help you achieve top shots.

Once you?ve decided what to retain and what to discard, the next job is to consider your viewpoint. You can easily transform the scene by looking at it from above or below. Assess the available vantage points of the scene and decide if it looks better from a different angle or height other than the eye level. -Texture To really appeal to the viewer?s sense, incorporate texture into your shot. The appearance of texture can be heightened with the aid of good lighting. A light source raking across the textured surface will exaggerate it beautifully.?

-Tone Tone related to the full range of grays present in the scale from the blackest black to the purest white. For a tranquil appeal, its best to aim for low-contrast. To emphasis extremes, opt for a high contrast effect.

- Color Composition and color combine to create a dramatic impact. Assess your subject and see if it will benefit from color treatment. A bleak scene can be made more dramatic by selectively coloring a single element.

Guitar effects pedals (or “stompboxes”) have been a mainstay in guitarists’ sound-palettes since the early 1960′s when engineer Roger Mayer is purported to have built the first guitar effects pedals, the “fuzz” pedal (the precurser of the modern overdrive and distortion pedal) and the wah-pedal. Mayer’s creations graced the stages of such rock luminaries as Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, and Jimi Hendrix (supposedly, Mayer created the first pedals for his friend Page in the early 1960′s). Mayer’s legacy lives on, as guitar effects are used by guitar players across the globe.

Effects pedals are used to give the guitarist more tonal colors or, that is, an expansion of timbre on his instrument’s palette. It’s possible to use an amplifier’s settings to create these different tonal colors, too, but the amplifier is limited to what effects it can give, plus its settings would have to be changed only between songs, whereas guitar players frequently want to change tonality and color in the midst of playing a single song, and often many times over.

Not unlike the electric guitar and amplifier itself, effects pedals contribute to guitarists having a broad range of tonal expression. Today, even classical and acoustic guitarists use these effects, though they tend to avoid the distortion, overdrive, and wah pedals used by electric guitarists.

After the initial popularity of guitar effects pedals, manufacturers produced rack-mounted gear that was either aimed at guitarists or widely used by them. Companies such as Yamaha and Eventide made products that were often found in the racks of famous guitarists, particularly in the 1980′s. However, with increased quality in effects pedal technology, most guitar players moved away from rack-mounted gear back to floor-mounted effects pedals, embracing their simple usability.

When they have their effects selected, most guitar players will mount their pedals on a pedalboard to facilitate transportation and storage of their effects. This system makes it much easier to activate the pedals as well, since they are contained in a relatively small space. Since wah and volume pedals operate a bit differently (they are rocked back and forth rather than simply switched on), they are mounted to make this usage easier.

Most pedals, though, have a simple on-off feature. For instance, the ubiquitous distortion tone of hard rock and metal guitar players can be instantly switched off and the guitar’s “clean channel” allowed to be played, to give a different feel to different sections of a song. Another simple stomp, and the distorted tone comes roaring back.

Guitarists often spend a great deal of time tweaking their effects, amps, and guitars just to get the “perfect” sound that they’ve been searching for. There are literally thousands of effect devices for you to chose from. Some more common effects include volume, wah, compression, distortion, overdrive, chorus, echo/delay, tremolo, and vibrato. Effects such as these can drastically and effectively shape a guitarist’s sound.

If you have made the mistake of cheating on your spouse, you might be feeling guilty because of it. A lot of people cheat for reasons that don’t have anything to do with their husband or wife. Sometimes cheating on your spouse results from a lack of self confidence.

Sometimes as a couple gets older, one of them begins to feel upset and self-conscious about what their age has done to their bodies. They may not feel as pretty or handsome as they used to.

So when someone gives them attention and flatters them, especially if they are younger, it can get them to thinking about the way things used to be. And with this thought process, comes the thoughts about cheating. They think that the excitement from sneaking around will make them more attractive and help them feel that way again.

But, self esteem issues don’t go away just because you slap a bandage over them. If you do feel you are sagging a little more than you used to, you need to talk about it with your spouse. Cheating on your spouse shouldn’t be the answer for any issues in a marriage. It isn’t a fair thing to put your spouse through, to put the person you are interested in through, and most significantly it isn’t fair to put yourself through it.
