Generally it is well-known that’s introductions involve writing a short passage on the subject. The important point about writing a good introduction is to make it catchy to the reader. In order to do this it must capture the essence of the story and bring out this essence through an example. This is important as otherwise you won’t be capturing the real essence of the story and people will read only just a few lines.

If you’re going to start writing, make sure it’s short intro. When readers see a headline they expect the writing below it to contain content which relates to that headline. There’s only so much time a reader will spend with an intro about sports when the headline suggested the article was about vacations.

Furthermore, you may have captured the essence of the story very well in the intro, but you have to ask yourself the question.. is the intro short enough to engage reader interest before the content return to elaborating on the subject a hand?

In this piece above, you can see that the intro is pretty short. This is the kind of intro that works with the audience because the reader is aware of what they are reading and absorbing it fully. The reader knows what the article is about in a broad sense and therefore they know what to expect inside the story.

Starting with a long introduction that appears to bear no relevance to the headline is the number one killer of otherwise good writing.

Another point is when you use anecdotes. You should let your reader know before-hand how your anecdote relates to your topic before you tell it to them, else the reader will leave out your topic, even before you begin to elaborate your point.

Seeing NFL players hold out from training camp is nothing new. Heck, it goes on every single year. But 49ers rookie WR Michael Crabtree is prepared to hold out not just for training camp, or the preseason games, or even the first few games of the regular season, but the entire 2009 NFL season.

This may seem shocking and arrogant and frankly, it is. Some of it isn’t his fault, though, and it really all starts with Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders. Davis hasn’t done anything right lately, and in this year’s NFL draft, he took WR Darrius Heyward-Bey with the 7th overall pick, three spots ahead of Michael Crabtree.

Heyward Bey is fast, but Crabtree is one of those rare receivers that comes along every few years, with a unique blend of speed, talent, and all of the intangibles you look for in a receiver. Named as an All-American during both of his seasons with the Red Raiders, Crabtree is as good as they get.

Davis messed up in not having taken Crabtree, but also messed up in bestowing a huge, $38.25 million contract upon the rookie Heyward-Bey. Crabtree is now using this as ammo for a higher contract and his threats to sit out the season if he doesn’t get what he wants.

In San Francisco, the 49ers won’t have any of it, and are completely willing to play the season without Crabtree, releasing him if need be. This would be a wasted draft pick in San Francisco, and would immediately give Crabtree a dangerous reputation around the league.

The bigger issue at hand is the fact that NFL rookies are being paid so much to begin with. Without having proven anything in the league, it’s simply not right to reward a rookie with a contract valued at more money than many proven veterans secure for themselves. Davis’s actions regarding Heyward Bey just make it all worse.

Look, I can understand where Crabtree is coming from, but at the same time, he, and all the other rookies, should really consider themselves lucky to be making the amount that they are without having to prove anything. While Crabtree SHOULD be making more than Heyward-Bey, he’d still be making millions of dollars A YEAR.

Crabtree should be grateful for the opportunity given to him. The world isn’t perfect, and neither is football. Besides, he has a long career ahead of himself and plenty of chances to negotiate something bigger later in the game.

Gunparade March Volume 1 is a new anime series which is based on the popular Playstation video game. The new DVD will be released in August 2009 and will feature the first four episodes of the 12 episode series. The series is directed by Katsushi Sakurabi and the story follows a group of young men and women who are fresh out of high school but have been drafted into the army in order to protect their world from the threats of invasion. One of the main characters is someone called Mai Shubamura who is a mysterious young girl who ends up affecting all of the people who she meets. The story also follows the young men and women as they go through everyday problems of adolescence including feelings for each other. The whole series is a light hearted romantic drama which is set against a thrilling sci-fi background of fighting, battles and mecha robots and various other sci-fi characters. The aliens are coming but the story is fresh and isn’t as dated as some other anime DVDs available.

The story also includes various sci-fi elements such as alien invaders using Humanoid Walking Tanks. There are several main characters but one of them, Mai Shubamura, is a mysterious young girl who ends up affecting all of the people who meet her.

Among the fighting, battles and mecha robots and various other sci-fi characters and effects, the story also covers some stories of the young men and women struggling with their feelings and other adolescent issues. Although the story is very sci-fi and light hearted it manages to do it in a way that isn’t cheesy or corny like other anime series’.

The story continues fifty years later where the Japanese Military are recruiting those ages between 16 and 21 by an enforced student draft to fight. The popular story of Gunparade March Volume 1 includes various sci-fi elements such as alien invaders using Humanoid Walking Tanks.

Usually, your everyday person doesn’t know how they should get into Information Technology, let alone what area they should look at getting trained in. How can most of us possibly understand the day-to-day realities of any IT job when we’ve never done it? We normally don’t know someone who works in that sector anyway. Generally, the way to deal with this issue appropriately comes from a deep talk over several different topics:

* What hobbies you’re involved with in your spare-time – as they can show the areas will satisfy you.

* What time-frame are you looking at for retraining?

* What are your thoughts on salary vs the travel required?

* With so many ways to train in IT – you’ll need to achieve some key facts on what makes them different.

* Taking a good look at the level of commitment, time and effort you’ll make available.

In all honesty, you’ll find the only real way to seek advice on these areas will be via a meeting with an advisor or professional who has years of experience in the IT industry (and more importantly the commercial requirements.)
