Removing DVD/CD Clutter
For many, many years people have been trying to find ways to store their entertainment media. From vinyl albums and 8 tracks all the way to cassette tapes and CD’s. The age old question remains the same, where can I store my collection?
In the older days people did not have as much to store, as many of us have today. Even though many of us have iPods and MP3 players, we still have a large amounts of CD’s and DVDs to store. But how do we store all these cases without having our home looking cluttered and messy. There are numerous DVD and CD racks that you can purchase, however many of them are made of cheap plastic, that you would want to hide away.
There are pieces that are more furniture like, but when placed in your home they still look more like a cabinet, and do not really fit into the style of your room. However, there is something in between those two that will fit into everyone’s home.
Another option that you have is to utilize a CD catalog book. It is perfect for CDs and DVDs, and you can fit all of them in this book that contains clear plastic sleeves, which allows you to place the disc and artwork in one slot. Then there is a catalog case, this is a clear plastic case that acts like a jukebox. You place the disc in the container then dial which disc you want to, push a button, and when you open the lid your disc is on top waiting for you. This case comes with a separate book that holds all the artwork and listings. Although there are many choices available, the most popular one is still the old fashion racks, but how do you find one that looks good and is functional at the same time.
There are so many different styles and kinds that it could take a long time to pick out the right one for you. Just do a little looking around at the local store, or better yet, do a little searching online for the best variety and selection. Storing your CDs can be an annoying necessity or if you are an organized freak like me, a chance to do a little organizing in an unlikely place but with lots of potential and plenty to do.
