How Moving to Hollywood or LA May Not Be The Best Place To Make It in The Entertainment Industry
A great deal of actors and actresses are struggling to make ends meet in Los Angeles and are spending their time on waiting tables instead of perfecting their craft. Because of this, many people in the entertainment industry have now moved to other cities such as Seattle, Washington and Albuquerque, New Mexico. One example are some women wishing to be models in LA realized that the Seattle models can make a better living by getting booked through a Seattle modeling firm than one in LA or New York.
LA and Hollywood, California have had a large population move there from all around the world if they want to try to make a living in the entertainment industry . Many actors and singers from other towns often dream of heading West to Hollywood to to take their chance at stardom . Unfortunately due to this frequent occurrence , the Los Angeles area is overpopulated with actors and actresses trying to make it in the profession . In addition to the overpopulation problem , high expense of living in that area of California is very expensive and tough to survive in while trying to get your foot in the door for a movie or television show .

The first reason is the proximity it has to Los Angeles and the fact that is continues to be on the same time zone helps greatly if access to go to LA for a reason arises . Seattle is a booming, fun and hip city that has a lot going for it. It is located on the water with access by ferry to Victoria, BC which is a great place to visit too . The population in Seattle is younger than many metropolitan areas as well and the entertainment industry has really boomed here in the past decade with enormous donations made to the arts by local mogul Bill Gates. Opportunities for theatre, modeling and some commercial work are plentiful and a fabulous way to get started in your craft .
Albuquerque, New Mexico today is the new city to be in if you wish to work in movies. In the past several years, several movies have been shot in this location due to the lower expense of finding a facility and the price of access to magnificent open land here also . Many movie studio warehouses have been built here and because it is so much more reasonable to shoot in New Mexico than in California it has been a popular thing to do so for several movie directors and producers. A lot of people working in films behind the scenes have learned of this fact and have now moved to Albuquerque permanently and are getting more work than they can do .
The lower cost of living in New Mexico allows those that are making films or even acting in films to live very comfortably for less money and the views are an added bonus as well . Major motion picture actress Julia Roberts spends as much time as she can on her ranch in New Mexico and many actors are wanting to do the same .
