On August 26 we all woke up to the news that the Senator from Massachusetts died of brain cancer late last night.

He passed away EXACTLY one year after he spoke at the Democratic Convention in 2008 ” his comeback appearance after the diagnosis of brain cancer.

Like nearly all the Kennedys Ted had the fateful 4 and 8 numbers activated in his numerology blueprint. For example, he was born on the 22nd, a 4 Day. His current name number “Ted Kennedy” is a 13/4. And his other current name Edward Kennedy adds up to 31/4. He also has a 4 Soul Number.

If you want to learn to play the guitar quickly, you need to build a solid foundation. I’m serious, it may seem tedious, but this is truly the fastest way to learn to play the guitar. The first thing you must learn is guitar tuning. If you try to learn to play with your guitar not in tune, you will either never be able to get the right sound, or you will totally train your ear to not recognize the right sound.

While you are there, you may as well pick up a chart that shows all the notes on the guitar. Now with your guitar tuned, and your chart by your side, you’re ready to begin learning. Start by memorizing the notes, all the way up the neck. If you find this super boring, you can do this while you watch TV. The important part at this point is the fingering of the notes, not the actual playing of them. Memorize those notes.

Once you learn the notes all the way up the neck, you can start practicing your chord positions. I know you’ve already skipped ahead to this part, but now you can devote some more time to it. Four easy chords to play are G, D, A and A7. For all illustrations here, and most tablature you will find, your fingers are numbered thus, index finger is 1, middle finger is 2, ring finger is 3 and baby finger is 4. So now, to play the G chord, simply place finger 3 on the top string in the third fret, finger 2 on the next string down in the second fret, and finger 4 on the bottom string in the third fret. Now holding pressure on those strings, strum the guitar and you’re playing G.

The D chord is played using the bottom three strings. The high E string is played in the second fret with the middle finger, the B string, next one up, is played at the third fret with the ring finger, and the G string, next one up, is played also in the second fret with the index finger. This is the D chord.

The A chord is extremely simple, the bottom string is played open, this means no fingers on it, and the next three strings up are all played in the second fret. It is best to use this order for your fingers. Starting with the bottom, which in this case is the second string from the bottom, place your fingers in this order, 3, 1 and 2. That is the A chord. Now the reason I recommend that order, is that if you lift off finger number 1 you’re now playing A7.

Practice playing these chords and switching around between them. Learn as many chords as you can find the positioning for. The more chords you learn, the more your flexibility will increase.

Now time to add another element to your learning. Remember when you memorized all those notes on the guitar. Well now you get to use them for something. Pick a note, and then try and sing that note. Move around and use different notes, and don’t worry it will get easier with practice. Alternate between the notes/singing and the chords.

Once you can play a note, then sing it, you can try reversing the order. Sing it, then pick it. Then listen to some of your music and try playing along, and guess what. You have managed to learn to play the guitar quickly.

A portrait is a picture taken of a person or small group focusing on their face or expression while they are in a still position, also known as portraiture. This is to display the personality, mood and the likeness of the person or group. You can also include the whole body and background in portrait photography as well. When taking a portrait photo the person or group is generally looking strait at the camera.

Non-professional models are used for portrait photography, unlike other styles of photography. Graduations, special events and weddings are types of occasions where portrait photography is used, and later displayed in private homes. Many are done on studio with several backgrounds to choose from.

History of Portrait Photography

Ever since the camera was invented people have been using portrait photography. It was, and is more inexpensive way then having your portrait painted and it is a more available method. Natural light was used from an open window and people would sit against the background. Portrait photography can now be more creative with the way technology has evolve since they can adjust light and move around more.

Methods of Light

A professional photographer has complete control over the lighting when taking portrait photographs in a studio. They can change the direction and the intensity. Different lighting terms are kicker lights, fill lights, background lights and the main light.

The main light is the primary light source. The main light is generally positioned above or below the subject and at a 45 degree angle.The main light can create shadows so the fill light helps to eliminate them. The kicker light is the light that brightens up the hair of a subject. This will help to add depth and to show the separation from the subject and the background. To add effects to the backdrops the background light is used to brighten up the background.

There’s a good chance that the home entertainment center you have today is quite different from the one you had ten, five, or even a couple of years ago. The 80′s and 90′s styles are becoming more and more impractical now as wireless technologies and flat screen televisions have become mainstream.

For many, DVDs get stored in a small cabinet or case below their television. Although they may fit in there like a glove, it’s not always practical to have row after row of DVD piled in front of one another. If you have kids, you know that things rarely get put back to where they belong if there’s no one there to provide that guidance, so digging through the stacks of DVDs to find the one they’re looking for could result in somewhat of a “hurricane style” aftermath. Luckily, there is quick and easy solution to this. Although you may think a bookshelf belongs in a library or a home office, they make great, inexpensive DVD holders. By picking one up at a local retailer or even a thrift store – you’ll be able to organize your DVDs, view them by title, and never have to go digging through a cabinet or box ever again. Plus, your impressive collection will be on display for guests at all times.

You can also find a full furniture piece that is not an armoire, but still a piece of case furniture with shelves, including one that goes above the television. The TV sits in the unit. The bottom part has shelves, drawers or cabinets for various components. One unit I saw that was specifically designed for the new flat panel TV style was unique because it required the TV to be connected to hang on the back wall of the unit.Perhaps you just like the idea of having the TV in the corner, but have plenty of room. If that is the case, then you can find a corner entertainment center similar to either style above, but it also has matching shelf units on both sides to extend along the walls.

The basic “TV stand” also does not meet the convention of small stands in a corner entertainment center, the type you purchase at a massive discount store. There are some really nice stands that are full pieces of furniture in some really nice styles. One I saw that I particularly liked was made of dark wood, I believe walnut, with glass doors in the middle (for components) and three narrow drawers down both sides of the middle compartment. Some of the styles I have seen include Quaker, Mission and Dutch Modern. Others I have seen have the more modern look, with a black or silver finish and glass shelves. Of course, the stands come in varying widths, depending on what you need.

The only thing I can think of that would make me want any sort of cabinet type home entertainment center in the future is if I were to get one of those fancy schmancy lifts that hook onto the TV and allow it to recess into, and lift out of, a nice wooden cabinet. I would consider that. Especially if it had a remote control to run the lift. That might be too good to pass up.
