This is more graphically vicious, yet noticeably less atmospheric than Foreign VS. Hunter. The continuation offers easy, infrequently stimulating B-movie buzzes. Anticipative moms may do well to avert their’ eyes throughout an ingeniously scary maternity-ward pattern. Full importance of the very last scene can be lost on anyone not thoroughly acquainted with arcane facets of the foreign film myths. The Hole: Secluded school scholar Birch trips onto campus once she and associate classmates have been missing for over 2 weeks. She informs a story of how she and 3 adolescents ditched a weekend territory trip to hang out in an underground bunker only to find their selves snared and at the lenity of a bothered mind. Birch’s complicated behavior is the best part of this boring mental terror film. Cast includes Discharged direct to video in the U.S. in 2004. Follow the Boys: Dumb comedy un- spiked by Francis’ harmonizing or pranks a~ quartet of gals pursue around the French Riviera desiring spouses. Cast includes Connie Francis, Paula Prentiss, Ron Randell, Janis Paige, Russ Tamblyn, and Danny Robin. (99 minutes, 1963)
No Drums, No Bugles: Pleasantly finished tirade, based on West Virginia fable in reference to conscientious objector throughout Civil Battle who invests 3 years in a cavern instead of quarrel. This is an excellent performance by Sheen, who’s the only one on monitor for most of film. Cast includes Martin Sheen. (85 minutes, 1971)
The Kingdom: In Saudi Arabia a terrorist bomber blows up a complex where westerners live. An elite team of FBI agents moves into the scene. They want to quickly get after the terrorists involved. They must have the cooperation of the Saudi’s. With the help of some of the Saudi police, they start to gain ground on the terrorists responsible.
Goldeneye: In this 007 adventure Pierce Bronson plays the part of James Bond. The codes to a newly developed space weapon Goldeneye have been stolen. Bond heads to Russia, in search of the lost codes. His adversaries turn out to be former agent 006, Alec Trevelyan, along with Xenia Onatopp, a deadly assassin. 007 will need all his skills, as he travels from Russia, to the jungles of Cuba to recover the codes, and keep Goldeneye out of evil hands.
The Gay Divorcee: A top Fred Astaire flick froth with typical pointless structure and irregular lyrical numbers, containing Oscar-triumphing “Continental” and Cole Porter’s “Day and Night.” Rhodes is memorable as could-be correspondent in divorce case. Incidentally, the Broadway hit on which this was based was hailed The Gay Divorce, although the Hollywood Production Cipher disapproved. Cast includes Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Alice Brady, Edward Everett Horton, Erik Rhodes, Eric Blore, and Betty Grable. (107 minutes, 1934)
