Until recently, if you wanted to watch a movie, a trip to a video store like blockbuster was your only option. Now, with internet usage exploding, movie downloads are becoming very popular. You can get virtually any movie you want with a good movie download site. Here are some examples.
Murder on Monday: Graceful all-megastar production of Agatha Christie’s whodunit set in the 1930s, with unrecognizable Finney as the master-sleuth Hercule Poirot, and all his suspects on the same railroad train. Vibrant amusement, although severely slow paced. Bergman won Best Supporting Actress Oscar. Basic: While things go awry throughout an armed forces work out, base captain Daly brings in Travolta, the best interrogator he ever had, to query the surviving members of the squad, whose tales don’t add up. Accattone: Accattone is an unforgiving expose of the lives of the crooks and pimps in the ghettos of Rome. In particular we follow the life of Vittorio Accattone, a pimp whose life is coming unraveled. He becomes a pitiful figure trying to find his way. Franco Citti, Franca Pasut, Roberto Scaringella, and Adele Cambria are the stars. (1961 Foreign-Italian)
Light It Up: Well-intentioned although preachy drama in reference to a group of N.Y.C. kids who surround their high school after professor is unreasonably delayed and a patrol officer is inadvertently shot. He tries to handle a number of tough issues but outcomes are strained and melodramatic. Cast includes Guide Raymond, Woodland Whitaker, Marcello Robinson, Rosario Dawson, Robert Richard, Judd Nelson, Fredro Starr, Sara Gilbert, Glynn Turman, and Vanessa L. Williams (99 minutes, 1999)
The Eel: A businessman viciously kills his spouse after finding that she has been cheating on him. 8 years later, he is paroled from penitentiary, and can only connect to his pet eel, since it cannot betray him. Then he saves a female who has tried suicide after a poor relationship. Cast Koji Yakusho, Misa Shimizu, Fujio Tsuneta, Mitsuko Baisho, Akira Emoto, Sho Aikawa, and Ken Kobayashi. (117 minutes, 1977)
The Bourne Ultimatum: In the third movie of the series, Jason Bourne is still being hunted by those who had trained him into the ultimate assassin that he is. Having lost his memory when almost being killed, Bourne is retracing his past to try to understand who he was, and why everyone wants him dead. All his skills are put to the test, as the C.I.A. is relentless in its effort to have him eliminated.
Natural Born Killers: Mary Mallory is a teenager with an abusive father. After falling in love with Mickey, they viscously murder Mary’s parents. Now they are on the run along Rt. 666. As they run, they go on killing sprees, usually leaving one person alive that can recount the events. As time continues they become a media sensation, almost national heroes.
Alien 3: Ellen Ripley and her surviving friends are flying through space after battling the Aliens. They crash land on a desolate planet that has a prison colony as the inhabitants. Unfortunately, an alien has stowed away on the ship, and is now loose on this new world.
Nothing to Lose: Nick Bearns is having a bad day. He just caught his wife in bed with his boss. Now he is being carjack while sitting at a stoplight. Angry and feeling he has nothing to lose; he turns the tables on the crook, and kidnaps him. Eventually these two misfits collaborate to get back at Nick’s boss is this fun filled comedy.
Remember, be creative and use phrases like “Downloading DVDs”. Different phrases get different results. If the last one did not work try something else. See if “Quality Movie Downloads” gets a better result.
